*: The sequence really gets your attention right from the start with the tank smashing through the wall. I just get a kick out of how relentless Bond's pursuit of Ourumov is here--he's smashing through buildings and crunching cars underneath him. It's very satisfying to see the look of dread on Ourumov's face when he keeps looking behind him at the amount of destruction in Bond's wake. It's a real testament to the late Gottfried John's performance that these moments are so satisfying.

* The Alfa is a beautiful car, but the chase has not aged well. Stuff like this can be seen in every other TV show nowadays. Also the ending: It is ridiculous how simple it was for Bond and the police vehicles to enter the American military base by just crashing the bar.

**: While that jump that lasts for 3 sec. or so is impressive, the constant presence throughout the scene of ridiculous cartoonish elements like the slide whistle and buffoonish Sheriff JW Pepper completely undermines any real sense of danger or excitement that it may have been possible to create in their absence IMO.
