Well, that's the best that can be hoped for then. It's a result at least.
Yes, a partial victory to remember the brave soldiers in a military failure. At least those that lost their lives wont't now be forgotten thanks to the monument and pictures etc.

Shortly after the wars end, Operation Market Garden was re-created for the big screen. It used actual locations and every man featured was a veteran of the battle who were telling their own story and things they had personally done and witnessed. It's a fascinating piece of forgotten film making. It's about one hour twenty long but a must watch for those interested in this battle, or indeed in military history in general.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply it was a complete failure or that the sacrifices of the Allied troops brought nothing. Sorry if it came across like that.
And as a people we're still increadeable thankfull for the sacrifice of these young men.
