Would also have expected TMWTGG higher - somewhere around 15th or so. Really cool to see this list to unfold during the days to come :-)

Totally surprised TMWTGG finished so low. It's in my own bottom 7, but still, not second-worst EON film by any means IMO.

Sad to see such a wonderful Bond film finish so low. But who am I to talk, it wasn't in my top Ten either.

Doen t mean it is seen as second worst, only second least entries in top tens. There s a difference.

Agreed. It's inherent in the scoring method being employed.

If we all did a 26 film list I am sure TMWTGG would have finished higher.

Still, I would have expected TMWTGG to make more Top 10 lists than a few other Bond films. But it is true, ones that people feel mostly indifferent about will suffer.

I think TMWTGG deserves its placement. I will be pleased if DAF is next, that rounds out my bottom three for EON (in a different order).

And make no mistake........getting 1 point for 10th place or no point for 11th to 26th place is not that much of a difference. With both scoring methods -posting a TOP 10 or posting a TOP 26- you need to do well in the end to end on top.

Moreover, the nr of voters is equally important. The more voters, the less outliers you have. In the general Bond Movie Ranking topic, people's rankings are basically being adjusted like every month. But I'm not sure how many unique, new voters participate in there. I guess it's way less than 120?

And in the end, what counts for a 24th placed film, counts for all films: The amount of sets of points you collect, makes a difference too. TMWTGG got 1 time a 12, but DAD also got 2 times 8's (=16). But overall TMWTGG got from more people points than DAD: 14 times against 5 times for DAD.

Lucky for the movie that i rank it 8th place for this game and not 10th. TMWTGG always duel for 10th and 11th place in my normal Best movie top 10 or top 23 (24) with Octopussy. But this top 10 are for me the 10 Best Bond movies to see as motive. That's why i not vote on TWINE, OHMSS and FRWL.

Yes, you can always go to the ranking thread for a more representative ranking. This is Gustav s Bond/Eurovision mash up. Right, Gussy?

Same voting procedure, as opposed to ranking them all. No criticism. It s fun.

    Wow, TMWTGG second to last.

Disappointed. Might be my favourite Moore outing.

Best villain and best gadget (hence the username) of the series, astonishing couple of Swedes, excellent atmosphere and cinematography and best non Ken Adam sets.

Surprised TMWTGG fared as badly as it did. Despite its flaws, Sir Rog is on top form and Christopher Lee makes a decent villain.

Right. I have it as my No. 16. The problem is that many people have it as their 14 to 20 in there ranking. Only few people have it in their top10 and if they have it is just in between 7 and 10. I guess YOLT has a similar problem and will end up lower than expected.

According to the rules, in case of a tie, the film with the most set of points wins. I think this is fair, so that not one huge 12-pointer distorts the outcome.

So, TMWTGG got from 14 people points, whereas AVTAK got from 16 people points. Hence this result:

You also can see it as TMWTGG only need 14 votes to get same points. But the fact both movies get 49 points made it there both end on the 22 and 23 place.
