    Moore's performance is all over the place, Goodnight is a total dunce, not to mention the rushed feeling the film has but Lee's performance is strong enough to pull the films placing up a few more notches (and the score is among the better scores of the series).

    I guess one can compare the two films in the way that both, AVTAK an TMWTGG have a great villain and a very memorable henchman a good climax, a Barry score (the one in AVTAK is definately the better one), a rather dull Bond girl, some silly side characters and unfunny jokes. These are probably also the two most crititcized Moore performances. In AVTAK he is just too old whereas he is a bit too much trying to be Connery in TMWTGG. All in all I like both films, even though I definately prefer AVTAK.

    The only fair way is to have both TMWTGG and AVTAK at No 22, it's a tie.
    @Gustav_Graves

    But 22 or 23, who cares anyway ;)

    None of the films I have voted for have shown up on the list yet, I wonder if any members list will match the final ten list.

    According to the rules, in case of a tie, the film with the most set of points wins. I think this is fair, so that not one huge 12-pointer distorts the outcome.

    So, TMWTGG got from 14 people points, whereas AVTAK got from 16 people points. Hence this result:

    @Gustav_Graves surprised that view to a kill got so low I mean its not best film but its got a great villain and some good sequences I would say its a middle of the road but not third worse very interesting I'm sure there are going to be more surprises ahead this will be fun though

    Again, I'm surprised AVTAK is so low but, as mentioned above, it's whether it's in people top 10. Enjoying the reveals.

    DAF and QOS would be next, but in this forum QOS is rather popular lately so I can imagine it will escape for now, but not for too long.

    @Birdleson

    Glad I'm not the only one who has some movies practically at a tie.

    For me it's No 9 in the ranking. It's FYEO/LTK/TND/QOS.

    I decided on 9 QOS, 10 TND, 11 LTK, 12 FYEO

    How did I decide this: I simply put them in reverse chronological order.

    I actually did not include it on my list. When I filled out my Top Ten for this thread (I was one of the first) GE had squeaked past QOS to make it into my Top Ten, since that time I have switched back. For me it's always QOS, GE and SF fighting for that 10th spot, with FYEO and LTK fighting for the 13th.

    It's only a 1-pointer, so you needn't worry ;-). Your 10th place that is. And a 10th place is by far not a 'masterpiece' position for a Bond film.

    My top 13 are my masterpieces.

    So your 13th place is the same kind of masterpiece as your 1st place :-P? Why not saying that your TOP 13 of Masterpiece Films are.....tied for 1st place then ;-)?

    Can't say I'm surprised by the results so far. Still, you could have one hell of an entertaining Bond marathon with the bottom 5!

    Casino Royale (Not rated)
    Never Say Never Again (Not rated)
    Die Another Day 20/23
    The Man With The Golden Gun 10/23 (10/24)
    A View To A Kill 5/23 (5/24)
    Diamonds Are Forever 12/23 (12/24)

    The 2 points more for every of TMWTGG and AVTAK don't make a difrence. We wil see 2 points les for Tomorrow Never Dies wil make difrence. No biggest difrence wil expect with QOS and Twine.

    Just proves that all 24 films are marvelous movies, not one miss. The same goes for NSNA of course.

    DAF, QOS, LALD, TWINE will be the next four I'm certain. After that it will get difficult to predict.

    Still no surprises in the voting so far. If anything, I would have guessed TND a little bit higher up on the list, with TWINE taking it's place.

    Sadly the general Brosnan bias on this forum already shows in the poll. I hoped for a more representative vote.
    I guess GE will not be in the top 10 then.

    Still it's fun looking how things are unfolding :)

    120 voters is not representative?

    No Brosnan bias here, but could not find a place for his films in my top 10, which I felt a bit sad for, as they are very entertaining. Really, it just show how difficult it is to make a top ten ranking!

    Indeed ;-). It's rather bold @BondJasonBond006 to start talking about 'Brosnan-bias', when so many people have voted. Even people who decided to become a member of this forum because of this poll.
