    To be very honest....for a while TWINE was even fighting for 15th place :-).

    I have a feeling that my personal favourite, QOS, is next for the chop, but maybe it can hang on and beat LALD...
    I have that constant feeling QoS is gaining more and more reputation throughout the years. While it has (and will always have) it's flaws (for me: the editing, for others: the story or villain or both) it seems many continue warming up to it.

    It reminds me in some ways of OHMSS. The movie was not well-received during it's release and (many) years to come but today has a lot of fans. Like QoS it still has it's flaws (to me: Lazenby) - yet I like it alot today. Look at Hitchcock's Vertigo - same thing here.

    Anyway - I wouldn't wonder about seeing QoS higher ranked than expected. But the results will tell if I'm right or wrong :-)

    In my own list Brossas films are hard to put in order as i dislike them so much, but at a push i place TWINE first.But its mainly because of the wonderful Sophie Marceau! I like Robert Carlyle too, he evokes a degree of sympathy in Renard, but his role is underwritten!
    Was a fan of the group Garbage too, though the song is nowhere near their best! Cool title sequence too from Kleinman that accompanies it!
    Still, dont think TWINE should have finished ahead of MR, which is far more fun!

    TMWTGG, YOLT and TWINE are my cult favourites. Quite surprised both Far East adventures ended where they did but on the other hand I'm glad TWINE lasted this long.

    Other favourites of mine are less controversial, I expect DN, FRWL, GF, OHMSS, TSWLM, TLD, LTK, GE and CR to be in the upper half. If not, that would be disappointing.

    Fun poll so far!

    I'm hoping Daltons two will make the top ten! I tink its more likely for TLD than LTK though, judging by comments here! The rest of your list GoldenGun are very likely, though i hope you're wrong about GE!

    LALD at 16?

    TWINE at 17 rather than 26??

    A shocking and distressing turn of events.

    Crikey I thought LALD would be much higher, a staple top ten film for me.

    TWINE only two above TND... not so bad ~O)

    And, well, I already knew that AVTK is a guilty pleasure...

    three above TND ;-)
    I meant only two films in-between them :D
    TND is my favourite Brosnan...

    LALD, that is a shocker! I had it at no. 10. Really thought it would finish higher!

    Again, the problem is that only few people absolutely adore LALD and see it as their No1, 2 or 3. However, there are also only few people who hate this film. However that does not hep the film. To many average votes put it down considerably.

    You will see later in an overview that.....the higher the position, the more people vote for it. So the more people have it in their TOP 10.

    That's definitely a surprise to me. May not have been in my own top 10 but I think it deserves higher than that. I guess that's what is great about this poll. Anything can happen.

    And SP hasn't appeared yet!! Considering both MR and LALD trounced it in the Spectre vs the field thread, it looks like its going to have the last laugh!

    It seems Moore doesn't do better than Brosnan in this poll.

    Casino Royale (Not rated)
    Never Say Never Again (Not rated)
    Die Another Day 20/23
    The Man With The Golden Gun 10/23 (10/24) > For this game: 8/10
    A View To A Kill 5/23 (5/24) > For this game: 3/10
    Diamonds Are Forever 12/23 (12/24)
    Tomorrow Never Dies 3/23 > For this game: 5/10
    Moonraker 19/23
    You Only Live Twice 15/23
    The World Is Not Enough 2/23
    Live and Let die 7/23 (7/24) > For this game: 6/10

    If give twine 10 points and Lald 4 points it have turn in to draw and Lald stil be above because of more votes.

    I like the other 6 movies more, but are not inspecialy much better and FRWL is not even worse. The movie missing Q a litle bit, but have enough original things (Black cast, story, VS, No John Barry, good title song and no Blofeld.) and best Felix.

    I'm disappointed too. I like LALD a lot - though I guess I can't complain too much, since I didn't put it in my Top 10. But it's fairly close in my list.

    Come onnn. Some people say that it's 'ridiculous' how Bond gets captured by Silva, then does the William Tell Game with him, and then suddenly kills all henchmen. But sjee, isn't that more believable and realistic than seeing......Kananga being blown up like a balloon :-)?

    That's what makes the movie so much fun!!

    LALD Is consistent in tone through out, SF shifts tone midway through the film IMO, any good ground work from the first half of SF is undone by sloppy writing and contrivances galore.

    I guess many of us have LALD in their top15, however, only few have it in their top5. This will lead to a Situation where LALD mostly gets Zero or only few points. That LALD unlike TWINE, SP or QoS is hardly in anyone's bottom 5 does not help it. Ob the contrary, more controvertial films like TWINE or QoS benefit from the voting method. I don't mind that at all. It just may explain some surprising results.

    I find that a bit flawed reasoning. For the very simple reason that the particular voting system in this thread can still not make up with the effect that higher ranked films still receive from more people points than LALD. LALD got points from 39 people out of 120 possible voters, as compared to an ever decreasing number of people who placed other films lower, for example TND got only points from 16 people out of 120 possible people. The same goes the other way around for the upcoming Bond films who are ranked higher.

    For example, this topic's voting system goes like this:
    12 POINTS --> 01st place
    10 POINTS --> 02nd place
    08 POINTS --> 03rd place
    07 POINTS --> 04th place
    06 POINTS --> 05th place
    05 POINTS --> 06th place
    04 POINTS --> 07th place
    03 POINTS --> 08th place
    02 POINTS --> 09th place
    01 POINTS --> 10th place
    00 POINTS --> 11th place
    00 POINTS --> 12th place
    00 POINTS --> 13th place
    00 POINTS --> 14th place
    00 POINTS --> 15th place
    00 POINTS --> 16th place
    00 POINTS --> 17th place
    00 POINTS --> 18th place
    00 POINTS --> 19th place
    00 POINTS --> 20th place
    00 POINTS --> 21st place
    00 POINTS --> 22nd place
    00 POINTS --> 23rd place
    00 POINTS --> 24th place
    00 POINTS --> 25th place
    00 POINTS --> 26th place

    In other topics it's perhaps like this:
    25 POINTS --> 01st place
    24 POINTS --> 02nd place
    23 POINTS --> 03rd place
    22 POINTS --> 04th place
    21 POINTS --> 05th place
    20 POINTS --> 06th place
    19 POINTS --> 07th place
    18 POINTS --> 08th place
    17 POINTS --> 09th place
    16 POINTS --> 10th place
    15 POINTS --> 11th place
    14 POINTS --> 12th place
    13 POINTS --> 13th place
    12 POINTS --> 14th place
    11 POINTS --> 15th place
    10 POINTS --> 16th place
    09 POINTS --> 17th place
    08 POINTS --> 18th place
    07 POINTS --> 19th place
    06 POINTS --> 20th place
    05 POINTS --> 21st place
    05 POINTS --> 22nd place
    04 POINTS --> 23rd place
    03 POINTS --> 24th place
    02 POINTS --> 25th place
    01 POINTS --> 26th place

    But in the latter voting method LALD would do necessarily better, since it would still get only from 39 people TOP 10 marks. And even if it gets from -let's say- 15 more people marks between 11th and 18th place, on average the next Bond films that are ranked higher, are getting from more people TOP 10 marks.

    Actually, I have applied both two systems with the Eurovision results from 2014 (when Netherlands came 2nd). And really, only three countries switched positions in the TOP 26 (there are usually 26 finalists). And only one place difference for two songs and 2 place difference for one song. And that was only in the mid table section (13th place until 18th place).

    So no matter how many people voted LALD much higher than the Bottom 5, it still doesn't make up for 120 MINUS 39 = 81 voters who didn't put the film in the TOP 10 :-). You'll see that this number -on average- will decrease.

    I thought QoS would surprise and be higher... as flawed as it is, it still has things to offer (as Daniel said)
