"Staplerfahrer Klaus" is indeed a classic from over twenty years ago. It pretends to be an instructional movie from the "Berufsgenossenschaft" (variously translated as, say, workers' compensation board, mutual indemnity association or whatever), which at any rate is the public insurance that has to pay indemnity in case of work accidents. What makes it so impressive and realistic is the fact that the narrator is Egon Hoegen, a classically-trained actor most known for voicing the educational videos of "Der 7. Sinn" (The Seventh Sense) which appeared weekly or so in the Sixties and Seventies and trying to teach Germans to drive safely. No matter how ridiculous these short clips may seem today (especially regarding the alleged deficits of women drivers...check youtube.com if you understand enough German), they were (especially before the rise of private broadcasters in the early 80s) a staple of German (public) TV which everybody knew and maybe cherished, but at least took seriously. Which is why everybody was so flabbergasted realizing that the instructional movie by Mr. Hoegen transformed into a total splatterfest.
