Ian Ogilvy Audiobooks

Hello there

I would very much like to hear one of Ian Ogilvy's Bond Audiobooks, even just a minute of one. Does anyone know where I can find them online or anywhere selling the cassettes? I've tried Amazon and eBay without joy.

All of these list Ian Ogilvy as "contributor, " so I believe they're what you're looking for.

I love his read of the fleming novels. I have the From Russia With Love one from when I was a kid. I can't remember how many he did - think it was only four book readings? Always liked his voice - it suited Fleming's style.

There's probably a thread for this somewhere but do we think Ian could have been a decent Bond circa 1981/1983 when it looked like Rog might not be coming back?

He would've been the right age and I have to say I certainly prefer the idea of him doing it over Sam Neil and the awful Brolin.

Well, he was The Saint after Sir Rog, so why not Bond. Could have been a decent choice.

I used to have DAF and GF ,Ogilvy audiobooks....2 cassettes on each one,GF casing was green and DAF was red.
I used to listen to them all the time,he read them really well...God knows there they are now,alas.

I recommend the Return of The Saint. One episode has actor Josh Ackland with an hilarious blond wig, and he's trying to blow up Big Ben. Big Ben would be a cool location for a Bond film, perhaps, although recent Bond films have tended to be a bit London-centric.

I have the whole box set of this.
Camp as hell but brilliant...I remember watching them when they were on ITV on Sunday's...happy times !

I always thought he would have made a cool Bond. Had Tim not done TLD I could certainly see Ian in that film. He actually did do a Bondian Diet Coke commercial in the late 80s early 90s shortly after Pierce had done his. He looked like a great Bond in that.

He was certainly in the mix to replace Sir Roger.
They were very similar as the Saint so if they had wanted to keep the RogerBond theme going then he would have been the natural choice.
