I love both really. Today it's TLD, tomorrow it will be LTK.
Yeah Sanchez is a great villain, IMO and makes Koskov look like Truman Lodge.......actually Koskov makes Truman lodge look like Bond.
It is very atmospheric. I kind of wish EON would use that approach for future films: use the original story as a springboard and create from there.
I usually rank TLD a titch higher for the Barry score, Tim's clothes and hair and the great opening.
It's definitely a top 5 PTS for me. I find it hard to pick just one.............though this one is probably it.
I prefer Tim's Moneypenny to Pierce's.
Chase scene- one of my favorite snow sequences in the series.
LOL.
When Tim's blows up he shrugs it off and rides away in a cello case. MacGyver would have been proud.
The jailer Ken Sharrock is 30 years ahead of his time. His haircut and look is very 2017.
I remember thinking the angle of that shot, his delivery and expression made him look a bit like Christopher Reeve. I had just seen SUPERMAN IV in the cinema a week or so before TLD and noted Reeve looking a tad more hard/ rugged and serious than in the others. Tim's delivery of that monologue seemed very Reeve to me.
Reeve was one of those mentioned to take over after Moore.
Remember that time Superman visited James Bond?
That's a GREAT shot. Both at Pinewood filming their respective movies.
MOONRAKER
I love the gunbarrel music here.
