My mom took me and my sister to the drive-in to see this in 1971. Like all of the Bond films that I saw back then and before, the things that stuck out were seared in my memory; the clones, the scorpion, the elevator fight, the Acorns, the cremation, the car stunt, Bambi and Thumper. And my mom explaining that Bond's joke to Felix meant that they had stuck the diamonds up the corpse's ass.

that sounds great Id have loved to seen this in a drive in. I didnt catch it until it aired on ABC- then my Mom rented the VHS in the '80's

I can't put too much emphasis on how much I love Ken Adam. Saw him in so many interviews on the special features, mainly the many Inside... documentaries.

I like to think that he defected from the Union Corse, and it's the same character, Raphael. The other henchman also worked for Blofeld in OMHSS.

yeah- I like that as well.

I like M scenes that break tradition by placing them in a different environment. This is one of my favorite M scenes.

so this is the only film by Guy Hamilton that isn't in 1:33 aspect ratio, anyone knows why?

I wonder myself. I suppose since the previous 4 were scope DAF was going to be scope. Perhaps Hamilton had some say when they got to LALD?

Connery looks older yes, it's 9 years after DN.
Same for Craig I think, he aged a decade between QOS and SF in my opinion and that's only four years...

Both Lee and Connery look decades older here than they did 9 years earlier in DN.

Interestingly I thought Bernard looked a bit older in OHMSS. His hair was much closer cropped and aged him considerably since YOLT. But he is far older here than in DN. Same with Sean.
