oh and the silver water ball Connery arrives in.....that's just priceless!!!

parachuting-a recurring theme in cinematic Bond, probably one reason I fell in love with Bond...

I think the dialogue makes up for the battle section here in many ways.

I think GE's end battle is one of the best in the series. But TWINE is awful, the submarine section.

She is quite fetching. The first American leading Bond girl.

GE has a good ending with the satellite. The strongest climax of all the later ones, IMO.

Yes, but we still get too much "Rambo" Bond before it come down to 007 vs Alex.

Lots of Rambo Bond in the Brosnan films.

Never seen Rambo, but I like the action in the Brosnan Bonds, he handles assault rifles very well.

I must say once again how beautiful the colors are in the 60's and 70's Bonds. Nowadays everything either looks bluish or has a yellow filter throughout.

Imagine Quarrel coming up behind that "Six minutes and counting..." guy right now and slitting his throat! That's a climax!

    That would have been great!

Blofeld is way more patient than most villains. Metz would have long been killed by others.

is there a particular reason why Blofeld never appeared again in a Bond film, except for the FYEO pre-credits-sequence?

The Kevin McClory Warhead situation and the legal rights to use SPECTRE.
