As I was telling @Andi1996Ruegg yesterday. Despite all of the space antics shenanigans in the films, this was the only Fleming novel that actually dealt with rockets (or anything else) being launched into space.

Interesting. I never realized that all the times I read those books. Far more mystery thriller in tone I felt.

I am in awe still today my countless time watching Dr. No of how stunningly well they portray Jamaica. Imagine seeing this in theaters in 1962, pre-internet when it really hadn't been shown on screen and you may have seen a picture in a book once. Incredible.

Three Blind Mice. That would have been quite a shot with a pistol.

No wonder Fleming loved the place back then as well. Very beautiful location and probably my favorite Bond locale of all.

Absolutely! I love her in the Inside Dr. No featurette. Amazing that some of these characters back then they just got locally with little auditioning.

I'm not as big fan of the villain Dr. No, but the build up to him is absolutely phenomenal. It's more that you don't see that makes him a great villain.

EVERYONE has a cool haircut in this one: Bond, Felix, Strangways, Prof. Dent, control room guy, etc. Pity they couldn't get the same hairstylist for LTK.

Wasn't the story behind this set that they were running out of money in the budget and so Adam put this together and the empty space was so threatening and imposing that it worked? Brilliant mind.

Love this open air concierge, Bond just strolls right in. With it currently freezing where I am, just imagining that nice tropical air makes me feel warm.
