I should have been born in the 50s, clearly.

    Me too.

astonishing how late Ursula appears in the film and makes that much of an impact.

we got a high end record player here, the sound is out of this world, I do so hate new content on all levels, all records here are 70s or older.

I've been considering getting a record player as I have a few records and Bond soundtracks on vinyl that I've acquired through the years without a player. Would love recommendations of something readily available, quality, and affordable another time.

I mean they are new in part, the records, remastered stuff from the 70s backwards.

Definitely in agreement there. So many modern songs and artists are pretty bad lately, IMO.

Unpopular opinion, but I think the movie is less interesting from here on out. All the stuff on the main island with Bond interacting with all the players and locals I find to be the most intriguing.

I love Ursula........also great in the Hammer classic SHE and the '67 CR.

I've always loved the beach scenes myself.

The only instance of Bond singing in the series.

Connery can actually carry a tune. He's great in Darby O Gill singing some tunes.

Goes to show how great the film is that we all have different high points of the film. I have to admit on 4k, this beach looks absolutely stunning.

Yes, an excellent Vesper. But if I had to chose between her as Honey or as Vesper in an early EON production, I'd go with Honey. She's too perfect to lose.

    True. A legend.

    Love the eyeroll from Bond.

Ahhh them crawling through the water in their nice clothes makes me uncomfortable.

The blu ray is pretty good, but out of nostalgia I'd like to find an early VHS copy so I can occasionally watch it as I remember from my youth.

my favorite part of the film is when they are in their rooms later, stunning, stunning set, and then the dinner with Dr. No.

While I don't find it as intriguing, the ambient island sounds as the trio treks through Jamaica are quite nice and peaceful

interesting, the beach scene now seems to be a bit lengthy, before the film moved quite briskly in pace.

It really makes one feel as though they're with Bond Honey and Quarrel. Very convincing atmosphere.

it suits the film so well, still would have been interesting to know what Barry would have offered.

I have always taken it that Bond stabs this guy, but I was recently listening to a podcast where the hosts were insinuating that Bond killed him with some kind of a chokehold. What does everyone else think?
    Knife.

I would like to hookup the old VHS as well! See if I can spot any variations as the film as evolved over the years in transfers. I have a couple Bond laserdiscs as well. Trying to find the first criterion editions with the banned commentaries for DN/FRWL/GF
