TLD--I'm remembering the musical score now as we speak! The great John Barry.

    I love TLD’s soundtrack.

I really like the pre-title sequence. Interesting that several of those in the Bond series have to do with jumping (or tumbling) from heights--including GE and MR.

    You're right!

Yes, not too memorable...perhaps miscast, even though they were apparently going for an "80s" Leiter.

In BOND ON BOND, there is a small section about Felix Leiter. Roger says a little something nice or interesting about all the Leiters, and ends it with: "John Terry also played Felix Leiter."

    Popping in

    THUNDERBALL

Gunbarrel! My fave in the series!

First time the dot opens.......................we haven't seen that happen in 16 years now.

ABC used to butcher the PTS. If I recall, the September 1983 airing deleted the gunbarrel. I think the dots rolled across the screen and cut to the shot of the coffin.

The Blu-ray does look pretty sharp.

Titles! One of my favorite Binder title sequences.

Is Blofeld voiced by Eric Polhlman or Joseph Wiseman? The debate continues.............

    Help!!! Help!!! HEY!!!!!!!!!!!
One of the funniest scenes in the series.

I should get a baby blue terrycloth bathrobe like Sean's.

I think Fiona may well be my favorite female villain in the series. Not as cartoony as Xenia.

Paul Stassino was in a ton of SAINT episodes with Roger.

I love Terence Young's old school swipe between scenes. The only Bond film to do this, I believe.

Sometimes I roll my sleeves all the way up like Sean.

I don't know!!! Could it be the front doorbell??

    Sean is smooth.

I love THUNDERBALL. It's going to remain my number one for awhile.

This Vulcan section is the bit where the film does slow down.

I imagine it must have been fun to be alive in 1965. Fashions were very cool. Connery looks the business, the ladies all lovely, and when you went to see a new Bond film, it was Connery at his peak.

Not to mention, the other great films in cinemas then: the Hammer horrors, John Wayne movies, Elvis movies, Robert Mitchum movies, etc. The music of the time would become iconic.
    Great year, 1965.

Camouflaging the Vulcan. Cool stuff here. Is the Vulvan remains still in the Bahamas?
I remember a special feature on one of the CR DVDs that featured that location.

    I like Connery's grey overcoat.

    Another Time, Another Place.

Bond walks in late and M calls him out on it in front the other 00's.

Great Ken Adam set here. That giant map behind the painting is classic!

A lot of these scenes you're referring to are so memorable. They're really well done, and that's why TB remains my #2 Bond film. Terence Young really knew how to get the best out of the material and his lead actor. Connery's look when he's shamed in front of the other OO's gets me every time.

Great M scene, and great Moneypenny scene.

I love the casino scene and dance with Domino.
Claudine remains my number one favorite Bond girl.

Yes, that's a great scene. Barry's score elevates it too. Quite romantic without descending into cheese or sap.
