Since Solitaire isn't around with her cards to help me chose which Bond film to pop in I must do it the old fashioned way....by tossing a coin. Low and behold this quarter happens to be a Bond year- 1983 making one of the choices, NSNA.....on tails, SP...........

    NSNA it is..............popping it in.
Cheap Orion logo replaces the Warners logo...............Lani Hall..........I did watch OP recently this makes a decent companion piece.....................

only one winner there ,and thats OP..although i do like the 'domination' game scene they play..

I have a soft spot for both films as '83 and their respective releases was the moment that really turned me into a Bond fan.
Chuck Cunningham just got creamed by Fatima. I vividly remember these scenes in the cinema.
I like Sean's "look" in this one. He definitely got back into shape here.

Just got past her Nassau scenes ..and Valerie Leon's!
Felix just scared the crap out of Bond. I like the motor bike. Kind of wish Dan would get some sort of different gadget laden vehicle other than an obligatory Aston Martin.
This easy listening AM Michel Legrand music is pretty funny for Bond.

    Timothy Dalton cameo!!!!!!
I had a coworker once who was absolutely convinced Dalton was in NSNA because he read it on the imdb forums. He thought Dalton was asked to be in the background as a sort of early test to see what he'd look like as Bond. He truly believed the rumor.
    Domination game!!!!!!

In the shot of Domino walking to the video game (before the "my name is Bond Jamesh Bond) she passes a guy with a Dalton LTK haircut who leers at her briefly.
He's later seen in the background when Largo is chatting with a girl at another game.

why would Dalton be there ?
Okay I'll admit this............For Bond Fan's Eyes Only........ever since NSNA, pretty much any time I eat an apple, I'm compelled to toss it in the air and catch it behind my back like Sean. I usually drop it.

The greatest scene in not only Bond, but cinema history: Bond and Felix go bike riding and jogging in their underwear.

Someone had started a rumor probably 10 or more years ago that either Broccoli or McClory cast Dalton in the casino scene to "groom" as a future Bond. Doesn't make sense considering NSNA was a rival Bond. Person that started the rumor either probably thought it was funny to confuse fans who weren't aware that NSNA wasn't canon, or actually didn't know themselves. Pretty silly rumor, really and I knew one guy who actually fell for it.

To quote Sean in From Russia with Love: "The whole thing's so fantastic it just could be... true."

It's pretty funny as the guy doesn't look THAT much like Tim. Still I enjoyed my viewing of NSNA tonight.

Watching SPECTRE right now. I started it this morning, got half way thru, went to work, ran some errands, and am now relaxing watching the last act.
This is growing to just about be my favorite Craig Bond- at least in terms of being re-watched repeatedly. I still think several minutes should have been trimmed. I prefer Bond films to run around the 130 minute mark.

It is so easy to watch TRR....its not the best Bond film but its Craig's GF or MR or DAD ...a great 'go to' Bond flick..
Its a Craig film that you dont have to think about too much..he is lighter, which makes a big difference ,and its not a film you have keep staring at the screen to keep up with the plot..thats what it is to me..QOS is easy to watch as well but that is only because it the the shortest ever Bond flick..
We are all different,my American cousin, all different...QOS is indeed a better film.
All this talk about QOS means it is going in the player ...............now

This PTS gets better and better....QOS becomes more important in the Bond series after every watch...even AWTD is used more and more in other programmes...
