Sometimes I wonder what a late 1990's McClory Bond film would have looked like under SONY Pictures.

I liked his WARHEAD, and WARHEAD 2000 AD titles. I think there was also one called ATOMIC WARHEAD.

Ah, Pat Roach. One of my favorite bits in this film.

I never thought of that. He was one of two or three actors to play the part. I alway think of him as Brad in SUPERMAN III released earlier that same year.

I liked him as Brad. Great at playing a small town bully. Been awhile since I watched SUPERMAN III. Underrated entry, IMO.

I like Klaus Maria Brandauer's rendition of Largo. Pretty much pointless to compare him to the great Adolfo Celi, though. Completely different characterizations.
Klaus's hairstyle makes him all the more creepy. In fact, the villain of SUDDEN IMPACT, played by Paul Drake sported a similar 1983 cut.

Controversial opinion: I prefer Algy over John Cleese's R or whatever he was called.

I also prefer him to Whishaw's Q actually. Of course he was nowhere near Desmond, but in only one brief scene, I think he makes a pretty good mark on the role.

Valerie Leon is one of my favorite beauties in the Bond universe.

Bond and Fatima meet. Here's it's pretty sexy. When Pierce and Halle did the DAD equivalent, it was a bit sleazy.

Bond being pursued by sharks. Today, the sharks would probably be CGI.

The audience laughed when he said "You did say you'd catch me later".

Fatima changes outfits before plating the bomb in 007's suite.

Bond is wearing dungarees. I've always loved that bit.

Nigel obnoxiously interrupts yet still doesn't spoil the moment. Connery stamina at it's best.

Bernie Casey remains one of my favorite Leiters. His rapport with Connery is spot on, IMO and mirrors the novels.

I wonder if there is a Leiter ranking thread here, somewhere?

The bit with the casino security guard is classic!

I'd love to get the Blu-ray of this one. Pity it's been out of print for so long.

I picture the casino from the CASINO ROYALE novel having this type of smoke lit atmosphere. Same with the FYEO casino.

NSNA is the one Bond film I am missing from my collection.

NSNA is the one Bond film I am missing from my collection.

I recently got a 3rd copy in a Connery collection that also included A BRIDGE TOO FAR and CUBA. Sadly, the CUBA DVD is non-anamorphic and looks like crap on a wide screen TV.

The Domination sequence, in a way, was ahead of it's time as video game technology would quite advance in the ensuing years. The graphics here are kind of cool.

    Tron.

The obligatory sacrificial lamb, Nicole. Probably the most useless of Bond's allies to die.

The motorcycle chase! Great sequence, IMO.

I'm glad most of the sequence is without music and Legrand's action music leaves much to be desired.
