One positive of QoS is its run time. More Bond films should be under two hours. Keeps things brisk. Flemings Novels weren't tomes.

True....i agree they could be condensed but some still need to be 'epic',needing more time for the storyline to evolve...ala CR,TSWLM,FRWL,OP

Yes, I agree, but FRWL and TSWLM are both under 130 minutes, so there is a way to create that epic feeling without drawing things out for too long.

CR, for example, is 15 - 20 minutes too long for my liking.

Oh i totally agree with that....CR didnt need the collapsing 'house' scene, there could have been a better way to kill off Vesper...

Right..Bond is off to Austria..this is where the film picks up..

Tosca time.....this is probably the most 'artist like' Bond gets, with the silent shoot out (another of my threads i created, about this scene,somewhere)...it was a gamble but it worked...

TBH the glass fight with Mitchell doesnt do a lot for me and im glad when its over, but then its full speed ahead, and Greene is one of my favourite villains.....next to London ...

I think that the fight with Mitchell is beautifully shot, edited and choreographed. My only issue is that initial CGI enhanced fall through the ceiling glass. That is crap.

Exactly, and that kills it for me...ive even looked away when it happens but my mind logs it so....its a no go.

Its amazing sometimes how much Bond's allies are as important as Bond himself.....aaah Fields........grrrrr

Love the way Bond tosses the key away in the hotel room, ala Connery and Moore...

I hate watching Mathis die...it had nothing to do with Bond...his own 'friends' sold him out to Quantum/Spectre.....Bond just had to make it look like a murder/robbery to buy time...

Sinkhole CGI,filmed up the road from me in Milton Keynes....shit..only PB's wave surfing is worse.

You know ,it is only in the last 5 years ,yes the last 5 years, that i realised Sanchez never intended to kill Leiter, just kill his new wife, maim him and destroy his life...nasty bastard.

I love this part where Bond boards the Wavekrest and kicks arse everywhere ,getting the plane and the money...the part where the drug dealer shoots at Bond through the money is so true...such a wad of notes....

No comparison..TLD just wears you down....LTK is just a blast, there are no slow points..it flies by....ooh bar fight now...i really think TD would have established himself in his version of GE...shame..

The pacing on LTK, IMO hasn't been matched since. All Bonds since have moved like molasses in January compared to LICENCE.

although Daltons 'aaask me' accent is bad,and they should have picked up on that,as it is important, the 2 times it is said...and that winking fish FFS....LTK done.
Room for one more...which Bond flick ? hmmm....

Considering they were bringing Bond back after a 3 year gap,the gunbarrel music on this film is the worst of the lot...
