The Zorin Mine sequence. One of my favorite Bond endings.

I wonder what Stacey was serving for Breakfast? Looks like Bond grabbed something from the tray and munched on it. Can't tell what it was.

Toast and butter old chap..nothing more.

Ah! No wonder Bond is a bit leaner here than in OP. Maybe I should do that?

It doesnt work for me...still have a beer belly, but its nice he he especially with marmite, marmalade or peanut butter :)

I used to do yogurt for breakfast to keep lean, then sometimes just toast.
I had read that Karloff ate toast with coffee for breakfast during the filming of BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, a sandwich for lunch and light dinner. Plus lots of tea.
I tried that when I was in theatre during rehearsals.

    It worked ?

Yogurt with a bagel worked as a solid breakfast. I ate mostly "Lean Cuisine" and "Healthy Choice" entrees and got Pierce GoldenEye thin. I had cut out all fast food, and most red meat (as well as the white bread).
My drama professor mentioned that I couldn't afford to lose too much weight, and I was getting frail looking. I gradually eased up on the foods and let myself indulge once in awhile.
Several years ago I was being fitted for a tux dinner suit for a job. I mentioned I was a big Bond fan and loved the idea of wearing a tux. The tailor told me that once I hit my forties I'd gain some weight, fill out a bit and have a better build for a dinner suit like Bond. I wonder if he was thinking of Connery's physique in DAF?
Anyway, I must say it made me feel better.

A little soap here...............a little soap there.

007 retires with Stacey living a domesticated life outside San Francisco. He keeps busy by repairing Stacey's phone set up, changing the kitty litter, taking out the trash, and making quiche. He earned quite a pension from MI6 and can travel the world whenever he wants, and owns a small residence in Jamaica.

When the safety of the free world is once again under threat, however no doubt he'll make himself available to answer M's call.

    Casino Royale 67

Only got to the part that takes place in McTarry's castle and I'm in some serious need of weed. Oh, well better get drunk enough to sit this one through.

Trippy as hell. Nice music though.

    Suomi mainittu. Torilla tavataan!

Translation; Finland mentioned, meet you at the town square.

Funny thing is, that my native country is only mentioned in Bond spoof and even then some agent got stabbed in a sauna.

    Isn't Evelyn a girl's name?

    No, that's mine.

    You tell her, Peter Sellers.

The movie does pick up after Sellers enters the picture...

Watching Dalton's Bond in his first Q lab scene makes me extremely sad that the character no longer smokes. He looks so damned cool, I think I'm going to go out and by me a pack. Last time I did that, about four years ago, my girlfriend stumbled upon them and boy did I catch Holy Hell!
I feel you, my friend. Luckily, I don't have any girlfriend around for now, but still have my good company, the gunmetal case.

My wife and kids now think I'm certifiable (as does @bondjames and others). But you gotta shrug and say: I love me my Bond.

    And be unapologetic!

@bondjames.... not to be taken with any seriousness. Except, of course, my wife and kids DO think I'm certifiable for watching on loop CONNERY-CONNERY-CONNERY- CRAIG- LAZENBY- CONNERY- CONNERY- CRAIG- CRAIG- CRAIG- LAZENBY-... and so on...

(edit: with Dalton, Moore playing spoiler on some nights)

Watching FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE at the moment.

Bond, Kerim and Tatiana have boarded the train.

So far this is a GREAT viewing. Without doubt this one remains in my top 5.

I love the train compartment scenes.

    Charming........charming......

Bond and Tania slacking off. Or lounging about.

No more Kerim. Sean's understated performance here, IMO has yet to be equaled.

Now he escalates ............and is pissed.

    Sean means business.

    Controversial opinion:

As much praise as there is here for Timmy D and Daniel, I still maintain the opinion that Sean's performance as Bond in FRWL is the truest to Fleming.

My favorite gadget as a kid was always Bond attache case here. I had several briefcases as a kid and would take them to school in place of a back pack. I'd tell my elementary school principal I was a business man, but I was really trying to be Bond.

I still think its a cool gadget.

    Thump!

    Bond got pounded.

I loved watching the Bonds on the ABC network as a kid. It was always an event.

However, FRWL was massacred. The entire gypsy camp/ Krilencu section was removed.

The train fight was cut considerably as well.

Still it was fun to watch these on the tube. I specifically remember FRWL airing on a Thursday night in May of 1984.

The first time I saw an un-cut version was a VHS rental. My Dad rented this along with NSNA from Peaches' Records and Tapes . We invited a friend over for a Connery/Bond theme night. Pretty much everyone agreed FRWL was the superior film.

    Great fun that night.

    I was in 5th grade.

Connery has a great facial expression while slapped.
