Bloody hell i forgot how much Sir Roger is a ruthless Bond in this film so far...he kicks serious arse, especially Sandor's...and is about to beat the hell out of 3 Russian agents in the Pyramids....

Considering they were bringing Bond back after a 3 year gap,the gunbarrel music on this film is the worst of the lot...
Interrupting the flow of the Bond Theme music seems to be a re-occurring theme in TSWLM, the Gunbarrel and later as he plants the explosive and pulls the plug on the television moniter. Hamlisch must have thought it was funny.

but is is thoroughly enjoyable..its amazing what a Bond film brings to you when u havent watched it for a while.....i grew up watching TSWLM and MR every Xmas as a kid....a family event...and this car ,helicopter, motorbike chase is brilliant and under-rated...

That is funny, and I don't think I picked up on it before. But, given the choice, I would have taken that gimmick out of the film. I hope it is shelved in future films.

Don't worry, gimmicks are rarely carried over from one film to the next anyway. ;)

But we went from the tracking insert in CR to the tracking blood in SP, I fear what this will evolve into next.

At the very least, it should cut down on the "where the hell is he?" scenes with M. ;)

Watching TWINE- Q scene introducing John Cleese. I always think of the Schweppes Bond commercial he did on the LTK VHS release.

I like the way Pierce says Renaaaaaaaaaaard.

Pierce was always good driving- especially with the Arnold Bondian score behind him. Holy crap it's Daniel Craig!!!!!! Oh no, that's just Davidov with a Craig SF haircut. My bad.

Cool to see the ski chase back in a Bond film....though this one is no OHMSS........or TSWLM...........or FYEO..........or even AVTAK.

no..although the 'see you back at the lodge' line and then Bond's face is very good.

That's a great moment, and the score is good in this scene, too.

Pierce looks damn good in TWINE. With that haircut, and those grey suits he could have easily been a leading man in the 1940's. He looks old school here.

Casino scene........x-ray comic book add glasses.........I love the way he drinks his martini after kicking this guy's ass. We need more Bondian coolness in future films.

Renaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard's intro. Sensitive Pierce. I wonder how Connery would have played this scene with Elektra?
Okay here's one of my favorite parts: Bond sneaking around middle of the night. Another type of traditional Bondian scene Pierce was good at. Go, Arnold with the music here!
Glad to see Davidov get it then thrown in the trash.

Throughout cinema history, there have been many many unintentionally funny scenes: Sean Penn's "Is that my daughter" from Mystic River, Clark Kent giving up his superpowers to get laid, then picking a fight with a local trucker bully and getting creamed for his trouble in Superman II, Bond and Felix bike riding and jogging in their underwear in NSNA, and now Pierce confronting Elektra in TWINE.
Maybe it's the way he snaps his finger in her face, or the way she slaps him, but the scene makes me laugh every time I see it.

What's up with the buckles on Bond's shoes? I do remember seeing those in '99.

I quite enjoyed this viewing of TWINE. It's a Bond I loved when first released, and still has many great moments. Pierce was at the top of his game here, oozing in self confidence and Bondness.

    DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER

Completely in the mood for this one!! Sean all the way! Although many fans rank this one fairly low, I've always enjoyed it. Complete nonsense as Guy Hamilton might have phrased it. A Bond film unashamed to have a little bit of fun, and Sean is obviously having a blast this time.
Plenty's death ........Sean looks pretty lean in this scene.
I've always wanted to visit Las Vegas and find that gas station but I imagine it's probably gone.

I think the next time I go into some business or company and someone asks what I'm doing or if I need any assistance I'll tell them I'm Klaus Hergesheimer, G section.

It really is fun, and the Dr Metz scene with Connery is hilarious. This and OP were pretty much my go-to Bonds when I was a kid.

    Thumper and Bambi!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sean's getting creamed. I cannot picture any other Bond actor in this scene. Only Sean can pull this off.

    MOONRAKER!!!!!!!!!
Time for Sir Rog! Completely in the mood for this one right now- PTS starring Kim Fortune of TSWLM fame. Once again he gets killed off.

There's so much in MR that would later be done in VIEW. The Zorin stables section is similar to Bond's visit to Drax's estate. Bond sneaking around at night, the surrounding woods, etc
The "Bond James Bond" line. I love the way it's relatively understated here, simple, smooth yet so Bondian. Completely natural and not so forcibly worked in.
Bond is being a bit of smart a$$ to Holly here.............and now he gets thrashed. Great scene! The centrifuge is classic. I'd love to see Daniel in a similar situation.
