I feel like no Bond film does the job for me lately. Not even the stand bys like Goldeneye, or The Living Daylights.

Seeing others passionate at least stokes my Bond fandom somewhat. We need a new film to get our teeth into, and compare with the others.

He gives Andrea enough time to get back to Scaramanga before letting her out.

I agree. The longer the gaps, the less the enthusiasm.

Forgive me, Darling. Your turn will come I promise.

I love how Roger has his cigar while Goodnight is pissed at him.

Rog probably the only Bond that could get away with that without a slap.

I used to have a green safari shirt. I found it in an antique clothing shop. Wish I still had it. It was very Roger like.

True. Pierce would probably come off as sleazy unfortunately. Craig would come off as tasteless.

Roger rocks the Safari shirt in impressive fashion.

    Call the police!!!!

I like Hip, but he kind of comes off as an idiot in some scenes.

This is Sheriff J.W. Pepper Louisiana State Police! Now you call my wife at the Neri Hotel and tell her I'm on a mission!!!!!! I've been deputized!!

I had a buddy who thought it was funny to call up his friends and leave that line on their voice mail. However, instead of saying 'I'm on a mission" he'd change the line to "I'm going to pee".

For ages we couldn't tell exactly what J.W. said in that bit, so we improvised.

It was funny in high school.

Great Barry score during the chase.

Here comes the famous spiral stunt. The slide whistle is almost funny. Still an amazing scene. I think Roger's OOOOHHHHRRWWW sound would have been better there, though.

    This marks my 5000th post!!

Pepper is controversial, but I love the guy. Best comedy cop of the series by a mile. Clifton throws everything into it.

He's great in SUPERMAN II playing essentially a more serious version of that type of character.

Nearing the climax. A very low-key ending, really. Bit to be honest, I prefer it it over some of the Craig endings, and most of the Brosnan endings.

Roger's sports jacket looks like something Jim Rockford would wear.

I love Christopher lee's shirt here. My girlfriend, knowing what a huge Christopher Lee fan I am bought me some shirts kind of similar some time back.

Rockford would lose the tie, though.

This is a popular location for Bond fans to seek out. I'd most certainly love to see it some day.

    Scaramanga destroys Bond's plane.
    Great scene, IMO.

So if they're having fried mushrooms for lunch, what else was on the menu?

Agreed. Love Bond's reactions as he realizes what's about to occur.

I've always wondered that as well.

    Ridiculously easy.

I like to use that term now and then.

By the time we got round to renting a VHS copy of TMWTGG when I was a kid, this was the only Bond I hadn't seen.
Pity I didn't see it sooner as I was a big Christopher Lee fan before I became a Bond fan.

Bond climbing under the fun house.

    Then he loses his gun.

That's what he gets for not wearing his shoulder holster.

This climax trades action for suspense.

I think it works well here, really.

    ...........and Bond shoots Scramanga.
