Controversial opinion: I prefer Tracy to Vesper.
The Blu-ray seems to have gotten rid of that awful color timing on the 2006 UE DVD.
This looks much better.
They need to bring back "My name is Bond. James Bond".
The last time he said it was in FYEO. Since then it's either been 'THE name's Bond......."
or "Bond. James Bond". Often attempting to re-do the classic DR NO version.
The first time I saw OHMSS was at 9pm PST, September 1, 1985 on the ABC Sunday Night Movie.
I loved it. Earlier in the week a cashier at my local SHELL gas station, told me about the title sequence incorporating clips from the earlier films. As I recall the guy loved OHMSS, which was kind of rare to come across in those days. Not much love for the film back then as I recall.
OHMSS may well be my favorite Barry score all together. Laz looks the king of cool behind the wheel in those shots.
Definitely. Lazenby was the most brutal Bond.
Me as well. Some of the dubbing doesn't even bother me; " What a fancy surprise our meeting again so soon".
Bernard Lee is my favorite M, and this scene justifies why.
Any objection to this is more baffling than just about any other opinion you can see here.
Bernard Lee is a Bond icon.
I'm often confused on whether he actually began to shoot scenes for FYEO, then became ill and couldn't finish. Or, if he was too ill from the start and had to be replaced early in production.
I may watch FYEO later, if I have the time. I believe today is the anniversary of it's release.
Curly blond hair aside, I disagreed.
If Bond had a deerstalker hat, he'd be dressed like Sherlock Holmes with that overcoat.
I hope so as well. All the elements come together here. Beautifully lit and shot from each angle.
