Nobody Does It Better I'll admit moves me. Especially since Roger's passing.
    Great theme song.

    I miss General Gogol.
TSWLM began a 10 year run of a new group of regulars. Minister of Defence, Gogol, etc

I'll take them over the Scooby Gang any day.
In addition although it was a 10 year run concluding with, TLD, there were several films that included these characters.

    Today we'd only have 2 or 3.

I really dig both Roger and George Baker's Bond haircuts here.

Roger looks damn good in the uniform.
Of the three Bonds we've seen in uniform, Roger looks the best, IMO.

Sean looked great as well, actually.

I should find that movie Curt Jurgens did with Robert Mitchum. THE ENEMY BELOW.
I used to have a copy. Another of my movie collection that needs replaced.

    Another hair comment.

Jaws parts his hair in the middle. Had the hair dressers left a cowlick on top, he'd have the same style as Alfalfa of the Our Gang shorts.

He even wears suspenders like Alfalfa.

Edward de Souka is great. Also in Hammer's KISS OF THE VAMPIRE years earlier.

I found a tan blazer last year of a similar fabric to Roger's Cairo outfit. It's cut more like what Craig might wear. With a blue dress shirt and striped tie I put together a sort of Roger in TSWLM outfit.
The tie is very close looking to what he wore.

I don't have the flared beige trousers, though and the overall effect is more Craig.

Perhaps if I were to get a Roger in TSWLM haircut?

Mojave Club. I love this bit.

Now in Sardinia. I like that Roger was given a different car to Sean.
I feel the Aston Martin has been massively overplayed in recent years. What I wouldn't give to see Bond behind the wheel of a Bentley.

Valerie Leon and Caroline Munro. Both Hammer Film alumni.

Oh definitely been overplayed for sure.

Bond meets Stromberg. I love this scene. Bond nearly spoils his cover.

    Drop in the ocean scene.

Of the Connery Bonds restored by Lowery, I do feel YOLT is the weakest. The colors were too muted in the restoration.
The cinematic colors were easily as vibrant as DR NO.

Kobe Docks. My favorite scene in the film.
I love the build up in the music.

I remember taping this off of the ABC network back in the fall of '86.
That print was darker than as previously seen on the station. Luckily not much was edited out that time compared to the other Connery's.
I watched that tape countless times.
Kind of wish I had kept my old tapes of the ABC Bond airings.
Several of the VHS releases had awful pan and scanning. The gunbarrel was off center.
Even the earliest widescreen VHS version screwed up the gunbarrel framing.

Yes. Tiger must have sent another helicopter just to film the drop.
