SPECTRE is the best Bond film. Period.

I have seen it 13 times at the cinema. So I know :D

I really do feel its a mistake for this film to destroy the MI6 building at Vauxhall Cross....a big mistake..

and the fact it is still there in real would have made kids who visit the Thames think "Is James Bond in there ?"....now it just destroys any allusions the kids had..it was a real life focal point re Bond.

And i HATE this ending in SP....It is all more for Craig's departure from the role than Blofeld's later returns...Christoph Waltz either had to play it this way or pass up the chance...i feel sorry for such a brilliant actor.

GF always hits the spot for me. Remains my number one Bond film-although DR NO, FRWL and TB come real close. All are in my top 5.

i must admit it is good so far..there is some point that it annoys me and i go off it,but so far its jumping up the rankings...or is it my good mood ?

Simply, GF is a classic. Connery is so effortlessly cool in this one, he's unsurpassed. Just look at how he breaks into Goldfinger's suite by snagging the keys from the hotel employee. Even sitting on his arse locked up throughout the second half- he does it cool. Connery's Bond could read aloud from a phone book for the duration of a Bond film and still command a strong screen presence.

It is the grandad of Bond films, the one that took it forward, sometimes i forget that, and dont give it the respect it deserves....and i love this golf scene...this is why i love this thread ,you can type out how u r feeling about a film and it helps you appreciate it...BUT something in this film lowers it in my ranking ..we will see..
The Q scene is great- the first time we get to see Q's disdain for Bond thanks to Guy Hamilton.
I love the golf scene, the way Connery effs with Goldfinger and needles him throughout. Priceless.
I may pop in a Bond later tonight. Possibly OHMSS as I'm feeling seasonal. Though I did watch that one on George's birthday. We'll see.

I always read nothing but praises of GF from @Birdleson, but I never understand it when I see the film (very good film, but far from my favorites in the franchise). I'll have to try double billing it with another outing tomorrow (GE? TSWLM?) and just let GF flow on the screen.

I like that GF still carries DR NO and FRWL's low key tone for the most part. Certainly there's the Aston Martin and all, but it never goes too over the top. I always thought it was fun to double bill it with a Moore: TSWLM or OP.
