Roger's hair is tapered at the neck. In all the other film's it's longer and blocked.
Yeah, I prefer the tapered look, it makes you appear more youthful. Roger's hair was the best here, and decent up until/and including TSWLM. After that, the back looked like a duck's butt :))

    I prefer it, also.

Roger looked great with a taper. It was always tapered on THE SAINT.
The later films, especially in OP it looks like a D.A.
Connery's was always tapered except in NSNA. Daniel has been wearing his tapered as well.

    Bus chase sequence.
    Great stuff here.

Of all the cabs lined up outside the airport, Bond and Solitaire just happen to get into Arnold Williams'.

    WELL HELLO, JIM!!!!

.........and here we get another multi-vehicle destroying chase sequence.

    I love this bit.

Crocodile bit. I'm so riveted and enthralled I'm barely posting.

...........and we're into the boat chase.
To this day I feel none of the later boat chases have measured up to this gigantic scene.
Some were fun, but this is iconic.
Roger looks amazing as well behind the wheel.

I wonder if that Louisiana billboard still exists?

Tommy Lane has the best facial expressions here.

    .....and Bond vs. Kananga.
I love this little fight. Syd Cain's sets here are great, IMO. An un-sung hero in Bond, really. Rarely discussed, but designed some of the best sets and films.

Bond and Solitaire board the train. I love Roger's double breasted suit. He really does look great in LALD.
I believe this was a Guy Hamilton tradition, having a small fight scene as the epilogue of the film. Usually as Bond is travelling back from his assignment.

The Roger nod makes it's first appearance here.

    The Tee-Hee laugh.

I do that to annoy my friends.

Baron Samedi at the end. Great touch.

So ends LIVE AND LET DIE, my second favorite Guy Hamilton film.

    Excellent viewing, I must say.

Much as I dislike the Afghanistan section of TLD, it certainly is beautifully photographed.

    Beautifully scored, too.

Agree with both comments. I lose a bit of interest there too. A good 15 minutes goes by with not much happening, but it picks up once Bond is discovered on the plane.

"That girl didn't know one end of a rifle from the other." Then she appeared pretty competent in the Afghanistan escape. Kind of like Tiffany Case, in reverse.

If it's part of their job to know firearms, then it's fine. Jinx, Wai Lin etc. But when you get computer programmers like Natalya knowing how to use a gun, it's a tad annoying (although, Natalya may be an exception, being Russian :)) ). At least with, say, Madeleine's backstory and daughter of a Quantum agent, it was a bit more believable.

As long as they don't incorrectly say 'clip', when referring to a regular magazine.

Clip is the term I always use. Granted I had no formal training, but I had a .45 automatic at one time.

Let me guess. It was confiscated during the Brosnan incident?

I was being a bit cheeky there ;)

I do remember reading gun expert's comments on the forums, with them pointing out errors in the Bond films, and the EON research department not doing enough research. Trivial example: calling Bond's gun from SF a PPK/S (the S stands for Signature!), but not being aware that such a model existed.

The real story as to why I no longer have that gun is way crazier. Some day I’ll tell it on here. One of my most insane predicaments.

    COMING AUTUMN 2018

    Looking forward to that one.

    FOR YOUR EYES ONLY

In the mood for this one...........pity the original UA logo isn't on the Blu-ray.

    Gunbarrel!

I like the quick cut to the opening shot, though I am glad they never did it that way again. Nice as a one-off.

Blofeld's equipment looks too simplistic to need so many buttons pushed.

Roger is wearing his ever reliable slip on dress shoes for this occasion. Not much traction if you're going to be dangling from a helicopter.
Compared to SPECTRE's helicopter, PTS this one is more low key. For my eyes, more entertaining.

So may be a bit confused here as to the location. Was this entire section demolished for the Millennium Dome?

I really should visit the UK some day.

Binder had a thing for Sheena. I do believe the title sequence was used as the MTV video for the song.
