Bond goes back to keep his word, be a gentleman and say goodbye to Bibi.
Actually he has an ulterior motive in getting information on Kriegler.

Now on to a somewhat unnecessary action sequence. It is kind of cool to see Roger knocked around here.

Blue blazer, beige slacks. I'd like to see Bond return to this look. The last time was Pierce in GOLDENEYE, who pulled it off beautifully, IMO.

I wonder how Daniel would look in a similar outfit? Maybe with his QOS hair?

One of the few times we see Roger at a casino table.

Bond and Lisl ride off. The shot of Melina seems to be leading up to something that never happens.

Apostis is great. Some funny facial expressions as he leaves Bond.

You're listening to the soothing.......... easy listening .........sounds of Bill Conti.

    Oh, yeah.
My buddy loves this track on the FYEO soundtrack. Reminds him of 1981/82.

It reminds me of the kind of music that would have played in a KMART store back then.

    Bond gets knocked out.

I love this section where he meets Columbo.

    Warehouse fight.
The Roger punch. He holds his opponent by the back of the head with his left hand as he swings with his right.

He did that on THE SAINT a lot.

FYEO- first Bond film I saw, back in early '95. The PTS is one of the few scenes I've remembered well.

try to keep it up..................and ease it in...............

The dancers at the party aren't exactly grooving to the tune.
Great song. Sounds a bit trashy, and I like that. Also really like the blonde girl in the pink bikini and the Asian girl when Bond grabs the umbrella.

My favorite version of the Roger nod.
Love how the henchman in the car smiles- he is clearly having fun. Is he the same guy piloting the plane in MR's PTS and offers to help Bond during TSWLM's end battle?

Tanner treats Bond like an idiot.
Never cared for this Tanner, he comes across as a douche.

Even Eric ignores her when she calls out to him.

Ages ago, I had a friend who's older brother once told me: "ignore them, and they will come to you".

So the next day I went and practiced ignoring a girl I rather fancied.
Well, I wouldn't ignore them altogether ;) just don't look desperate! Did you get the girl?

Everyone in the elevator seems to notice Bond. Maybe the extras are just excited to be in the same shot with Roger.
Yeah, that one guy keeps looking at Bond for whatever reason.

What a film! 80's Bond at it's best!

Yeah, that one guy keeps looking at Bond for whatever reason.

The smiling henchman driving during the Roger nod is Michel Julienne, who later appears in the PTS of TLD.

That girl certainly started talking to me more after I tried that tactic. However, I soon met someone else and embarked in a more real, intense and educational relationship.

Bond and Melina underwater, talking when they should be preserving their oxygen.

If I were to nitpick this section, I'd say I find this underwater bit even slower than some of THUNDERBALL.
I actually love the leisurely pacing of TB's underwater scenes, but here I'm looking forward to the keel hauling bit.

The ABC network used to cut out the second section of the underwater bit where Neptune itself is being attacked.

    Nice one.

The team did well faking those underwater close-ups.

The henchman in the other sub, credited as 'Mantis Man' IIRC, was the creator of that sub.

I'm really digging Melina this viewing. She's always seemed to me to be a Bond girl that is rarely discussed. I always thought most of the Bond movie books never really showcased her.
Usually in a filmbook 'Bond girls" section you'd have several pictures of Honey, Tatiana, Solitaire, Anya, Octopussy and who ever was the latest, but Melina seemed left behind.

I never knew that was the sub's creator. Very cool.

One of my favourite Bond girls. There are far worse ones around (Christmas Jones, etc.)!

I love this entire section. I do hope B25 has some great Bond in peril moments.

Absolutely. Aside from the character's name change I pictured Carole Bouquet when I read the FYEO short story as well. I think she did a great job here.

Bond in a brown robe. I like his climbing outfit, though.
This last section has the feel of a WWII movie to me. I love this whole bit of him climbing the cliff, inter-cut with scenes of Bibi. Today it would inter-cut with scenes of the Scooby gang.

Columbo's men kind of look like they could be in a rock back of the era. I can see the guy with the curly hair on keyboards, and the chap behind Columbo on drums.

Bond still keeps his boots in spite of removing the laces.

Harrison Ford lost his shoes and socks in an unintentionally hilarious scene from FRANTIC.

I really want to see someone fall from a cliff in B25. I always loved scenes where villains fall from great heights. It's been ages since there's been a scene like that.
