even the glimpse from Patrice ,knowing someone is there.....the colour and filming of this film is class, its where SP went wrong, even though i know DC was badly injured on his knee which handicapped him during filming, his knee to be operated on this year....SF has to move up from #7...i knew it would...an injured Bond is an extra tough bond..time to throw Patrice off the skyscraper...this is the film he is most patriotic towards England in .

Lately I've noticed that she has no personality. She's easily manipulated by Koskov and Bond. it's like she doesn't have a brain in her head. The only time she thinks for herself is when she goes off to save James but once she's on the Hercules she's back to being a vapid airhead who can't do anything unless someone tells her to. She had the potential to be a Natalya type character but sadly another thing with TLD that got squandered.

Kara does have an adorable smile at the end when she's playing the cello though.

Why does Bond tell Anya to stay close to him and they'll try to hide her as they are being taken from the US sub onto Stromberg's base? He's the only one wearing a Goddamned Commander's uniform.

Because its supposed to be an all male crew on the submarine, and if they see her or her long hair then they will be caught...which is what happened anyway !!!

Maybe Bond was going to take a page from Mel Brooks.

    psychologically, people don't notice you."
  • 20th Century Fox fanfare... Cue John Barry unmistakable sound, 007 theme kicks in awesome looking disk menu Connery purring like a sated leopard. Flares and pastel colours at the ready, time to initiate mission on Diamonds are Forever.

First thought... What happened to the other fella ;))

Knee jerk reaction from all involved, let's try to make another Goldfinger.

Charles Grey somehow managing to keep a straight face, despite the camp lunacy!

I think Barry Score is one of the best things about this film.

I should watch Diamonds again soon.

Watching it on my 4k TV it looks pretty good, Diamonds has its flaws pun intended though it's an enjoyable watch.

    Tiffany Case is Hot!

The fight in the lift with Franks is excellent, Connery genuinely looks like he's having fun in this.

Everyone in the world knows who James Bond is X_X

I always thought Sean was great in Diamonds. Maybe skipping OHMSS re-energized him?
He seems to be having a blast throughout, much more engaged than he was in YOLT.
  • Enjoyed Diamonds for the most part, Sean is good and pretty much subtlety insults everyone else in the film which is amusing. The finale is incredibly weak though which is a shame.

Its a terrible ending, including the deaths of Wint & Kidd, which I was looking forward to the first time I saw the film.

Their faces at the portholes as the ship departs still gives me shivers.

Diamonds veers into Revenge of the Pink Panther territory, Guy Hamilton did his part in the Bond Universe though I feel his films are not the best, LALD being the exception for me.

Hamiltons sub villains and henchmen were always good though.

I feel Charles Gray was miscast but,as usual, did a good job,but Wint & Kidd was perfect casting.
  • Agree on reflection a odd choice for Blofeld, maybe they should have stuck with Goldfinger brother as Bonds quarry ;))
