Roger Moore is my second favorite Bond, though I love him more than anyone except Bill Shatner.
  • Roger is at his prime great subtle Humour and glances, Roger was never better after this.

LALD feels so organic think that's why it works so well, it for me is Hamiltons best has a raw quality that feels fresh everytime I watch it.
  • Roger is on fire in this film

OMG that great PTS, George Lazenby owns the screen and so does Diana Rigg.

The titles are beautiful and that Bond theme. The best instrumental track ever composed.
  • Bet it looks good on your 4K TV mate

Roger taking advantage of Solitaire is more dodgy everytime I watch it, even the 70s it's ropey!

as it happens I did take some photos...not sure I posted them already but here are some...

the Blu-ray player actually upscales to 4K, it's not that much of a difference to Full HD, but what is a huge difference is the colour depth and that 4K HDR high dynamic range. The contrasts are out of this world.

Sadly it all is quite expensive, but earlier this year I decided to give a damn and I just bought the stuff including some 4K Blu-rays.
I had to go on a diet anyway :P and the upside is I got into shape again during the last 4 months with radically disciplined exercise every day for two hours. Almost Craigbond 2008 again :)

I got a Samsung 65" curved 4K model by the way, from the 8 series. The Blu-ray is Samsung as well, the only available true 4K player from Samsung, I think.
  • @BondJasonBond006 they are vivid images OHMSS is one of the visually most stunning Bonds. I have a Ultra HD TV think I will loose the plot when Bond is released at True 4k format.

Yes imagine 4K masters of Bond films... the pace with which the home media has developed is staggering.
There are already SUHD TVs and the next step in the evolution is even already existing.
Also 3D TV set where you don't need glasses are in development, some high end models already exist.

This thread is definitely one of my favorites on this board, and probably my first go to. Nothing gets me in the mood to watch a Bond film again more than other fans enjoying the films. A simple comment one makes while watching, say, DAF can easily get me in the mood for that film. Next thing you know I'm popping it in.
    Great thread this is!

Thanks @ToTheRight ...i was just sitting there watching,i think QOS,and i had something to say and realised i couldnt really give a live comment in a dedicated thread, and so this baby was born....nothing beats a live comment, discussion, debate or question...

@ToTheRight, been there many times! I'll see someone comment on a particular sequence or PTS or what have you, and next thing I know, I'm firing the movie up myself. Love it!

If I get time later today I may have to pop in a Bond just to make sure I end my 2016 on a fun note. Speaking of notes maybe I should watch one with a Barry score.....
I like to make sure the last film I watch for any given year is one I have a strong passion for.

My girlfriend is having a nap and im sitting at the dining room table watching 'Stakeout' ( a blast from my past which has just appeared on SKY) thinking do i wake her in the one hour she has stipulated or do i stick Bond on and hope for her to sleep through it ....

Stakeout's cool and all, but I'd say pop in a Bond.
