Solid viewing of YOLT, but it does pale in comparison to yesterday's TB viewing. Still I love all the Connery films.

I have a really good time with most of TND, but things go downhill after the motorcycle chase. The pacing is just rough. Still, there is a lot I like about TND. It’s kind of like Brosnan’s TSWLM. And the news stuff is ever so relevant now.

I watched TND recently, I struggle with the film after Germany

The fight with Hans is somewhat indifferent. I actually think the fight with Eric Kriegler is a bit weak as well. So by that rationale, Craig should have a wimpy fight scene at the end of his 5th outing.

I actually like that Bond's little scuffle with Hans is nowhere near the Oddjob or Red Grant scenes.

It's more like "let's just get through this, blow up the rocket, get the hell out of this volcano and call it a day".

Bond's fight in Osato's offices is much better than the Han's fight.

Ken Adam's sets really gave the film scope and multiplied the threat of the enemy

Absolutely. The Osato office fight is a lot of fun.

I'm now looking at the WELCOME TO JAPAN, MR BOND television special.

I must say the Bond film clips used here almost perfectly represent the original color timing of the 35mm prints of the Connery films. This is exactly the way the films looked on the big screen to me.

The documentarys for the earlier films are excellent, I think because of the Osato fight they probably thought not to make the Han's fight too overlong to prevent repetition

The documentary done at the time of TB was fun, too. I think it would have been a blast to have been around in the mid sixties when Bond was new. Great stuff back then.

Domino’s one of my absolute favorite Bond girls. Got to be Top 5 I think.

I love the little exchange when Bond almost bumps into a lady when he enters the Casino prior to meeting Largo, subtle moments like that make Terence Young the best Director in the series for me.

The biggest mistake Largo makes is let Bond buy Domino a drink

TB is just so dam good, the dialogue between Bond and Domino, then Domino and Largo when they depart. Then we see Bond with Leiter in the background removing his shades and we have not even met the new Leiter yet. This is how you make a great scene.

The location cinematography is amazing, this film gets number 1 spot now and then it's close to getting that spot back on this viewing

One thing that has always resonated in TB, as a viewer I do feel Bond is often in genuine peril

Bonds reaction when Fiona is speeding is gold, great tension in this scene

Bond circling Largo's Beach property in helicopter with Felix, Largo and Fiona discussing Bond's demise whilst clay shooting this is perfection

Bond has been corned by Fiona and Vargas et al, though when you watch this scene you really do get a sense that Connery's Bond is extremely dangerous

Bond being shot in the leg really adds to the tension, John Barry's music during the Junkanoo is phenomenal

Bonds reaction when he tells Domino about her brothers death, he puts his shades on to hide his emotions though his hand is shaking when he hands Domino the dog tags. Bond genuinely cares for Domino, translated so well in this scene
