Bloody hell Piercebond is on fire in this film , I haven’t seen it for awhile and am loving it x I might put him at #2 Bond behind Sir Roger !!
Should have done at least 2 more films .
Sophie Marceau is so electric in this film -- sexy, vulnerable yet commanding and enigmatic.

She is one of the best to me,up there wz my top two of Zorin and Sanchez

We agree on that at least Bazza.
Adore Sophie Marceau. The best thing in the movie!

Sophie Marceau is a highlight in the film, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Bond Girls

The Connery charm is still there despite many thinking otherwise

I was watching my digital copy then thought the Bluray is much better than this, so put the Bluray on huge contrast in picture quality.

My younger self watched this more than most films in the series, it is pure escapism

When we finally get 4K versions of the films, I think this is one that may benefit more than most.

As much as I like this film it's no where near the level of quality direction as the previous films, certainly Young's world class films

    Bond in Tokyo is awesome
This film spawned the majority of the parodies

The rear projection shots are not great though that continued in MR, Gilbert as a director shows ambition though at times his direction/or second unit can be lazy as a consequence in scenes he is obviously less interested in.

I am recalling the last time I watched this film, its goes from superb to lousing frequently
The fight scene in Osato's office is brilliant, well shot excellent camera work almost like a different film

Been weeks since I last partook in this thread.
After such a long hiatus might as well return with a post hiatus Bond .................

    GOLDENEYE

I do like the gunbarrel even though the music is more fitting for a '90's video game.
I can attest the audience cheered loud when Pierce strolled across the screen.

Opens on a plane similar to LTK's opening shot.

    I like Bond's boots.
Boots were all the rage in the '90's: construction or military style. Doc Marten's etc.

Soldier takes a crap and Bond watches from above.

Pierce is pretty damn suave. Several close ups of his face here were used in the excellent trailer.

By today's standards Pierce has extremely long hair for Bond in this film. Looks like it did in those early production shots with Cubby and John Glen for TLD.

Titles. Don't remember which popular department store spoofed this sequence for their TV ads. T.J. MAX? ROSS -DRESS FOR LESS, maybe?

Love the song. I think we need an established legend to sing the title song for B25. Not some current top 40.

Here we go. Bond chilling out in his Aston Martin with Serena Gordon.
"Ladies' First" synced together with Caroline's reaction shots do no justice to her character or Bond's. Makes her (and the whole scene) look astonishingly stupid. It's not funny either, though I have a hunch it was intended to be.

Xenia looks amazing in the casino. Great chemistry with Pierce.

The sex scene between Zenia and Billy J Mitchell doesn't hold up.
Looks awkward, choreographed and self conscious.
As if Prince Charles were visiting the set that day and Famke and Billy were informed at the last last minute. Famke is gorgeous, but this scene is embarrassing to watch. Luckily I'm alone here.

Here we go: Xenia steals the Tiger and Bond effs up his attempts to stop it. Pierce has some great reaction shots.

I like Natalya. Hands down my favorite Pierce leading lady.

I had a friend who had the exact haircut and style of glasses Boris wears. Nice guy at the time (hated this film, though) but sadly became a bit pretentious. He later dated (then married) a woman who apparently forbid him from keeping in touch with his old friends, and hence I never heard from him again. Every time I watch this and see Boris I'm reminded of my former friend and the amazing argument we had regarding GOLDENEYE.

I still find this film to be a return to form and a great comeback for Bond.

I love Tanner and M here. Judi is amazing in her first outing. Wonderful performance.
Controversial opinion: I prefer Judi's M in the Brosnan films to her incarnation in the Craig films.

I love Pierce here as well. "You don't just walk in and ask for the KEYS to the BOMB.
    You need the ACCESS codes."

I love Brosnan's disdain for M as she offers him a drink.
Great M scene. One for all time, IMO.

    POINT TAKEN.

Pierce knocks this out of the park first time 'round. He's an excellent James Bond here, IMO.

The Q scene: I can attest the audience loved Desmond in the cinemas.

How can one not love Desmond?

Seeing him on the big screen was like an old beloved family member you only get to see at Christmas.

I really like Pierce's BMW in this film. I think it should have returned in the follow up instead of that sedan.

Ah, Jack Wade. The Sheriff J.W. Pepper character for the '90's.

I love Joe Don Baker. He pounds Andy Robinson in CHARLEY VARRICK.

Brosnan looks great. Also as he exits the airport I like Serra's music cue there.

    Robbie Coltrane is great.

Stand By Your Man is pretty funny.

The two scenes with Coltrane are quite solid. Good chemistry with Pierce.

The sauna scene is classic. I do love Serra's bass lick as Bond is back floating in the pool.
My favorite scene in the film. Famke is great.

Again, Brosnan is suave and 100% Bond .

"I must say. I've had a lovely evening. You?"

006 returns. Okay. the Serra cue here as Alec reveals himself to Bond is a bit of a miss.
