I love the snow scenes here. Where I live before long we'll be up to our necks in snow. December is right around the corner..............then New Year's............then April and NTTD.

    Mr White looks like Hell.
If this film were shot in black and white it would truly look like a noir.
As it is, we have a neo noir style.

Bond meets his soul mate Madeleine Swann. His one and only love. Makes Tracy and Vesper look not just like flings, but total strangers.

Sarcasm aside, she's pretty damn cute I must say.

Q in the cable car surfing the net.

So this little chase is a bit lacking, but the locations are amazing.

Madeleine rejects Bond in the hotel suite.

Bond camps out in a chair like Roger in VIEW.

Bond finds the Vesper tape and hides his tears petrified that Madeleine will see him weep.
I love the train section. Bond has a cool outfit here. I wonder how Roger would have played this scene where he schools her on self defense? The humor would have been accentuated when she can clearly handle the weapon. I picture Roger AVTAK era tackling this scene over some quiche de cabinet.

White dinner jacket scene. Madeleine looks amazing. I think I'm having a change of heart. The yellow hue is striking here, IMO.

    Bond is getting creamed.

Maybe it's my television settings, but the picture looks great. Especially the "What do we do now?" shot.

Madeleine watches her dad blow his brains out. Bond fails to stop this life changing experience.

The torture scene reminds me of THE MUPPET MOVIE when Kermit is tortured by Mel Brooks. Miss Piggy opens a can of whoop a$$ and saves him.

Madeleine on the other hand tells Bond she loves him giving him the motivation to get out of this himself.

It would have been cooler if she opened a can of whoop a$$ rescuing Bond.

Bond escapes. I wish he were wearing something other than the simple white shirt and slacks. This dull outfit reminds me of Connery in NSNA aboard The Flying Saucer.

This 3rd act climax makes the ending of NSNA look iconic and legendary.
Still, it's growing on me as is the overall film.
    Each viewing gets better.

Right, settled in with a bottle of whiskey, here we go with YOLT.
Are some of those shots in the mission control during the space sequence stock footage? Darn well looks like it...

Great fight scene. Bond using a sofa as a weapon is novel....
YOLT used to be my favourite Bond film...

A drop in the ocean.... Silly scene but great music by John Barry.
Kobe docks. Best scenes in the film. Oh and one of Barry's best pieces.

I love his bored look as he approaches Moneypenny and shines the light in her face.

I love his bored look in the elevator as he goes to meet Osato.

'James Bond will be back On Her Majesty's Secret Service...'
A far superior film as it turned out.

I love this sequence. The music, the cinematography of the rooftop shot is majestic. Reminds me of some of the OHMSS skiing shots where it's pure cinematic enjoyment.

Watching GOLDENEYE to relax me after being trapped in a train tunnel wz no air con for 1hr 30mins after I saw an explosion 💥 in the tunnel as the power blew ,rocking the train , n then having to be lead by my brilliant police force down a ladder to the track and back to the station x not a great start to the holiday weekend n lost 4 hours .
Got a taxi though n claimed £100 more than it cost to get me home thanks to the best cabbies in the world - London cabbies - diamond geezers.

This is the last true Bond film linked wz the Russians ,and to not make them the villains was a great touch.
Never liked the tank scene ,the Russians would have isolated him in minutes and it’s just not Bond.
So I ignore that and head for the brilliant train scene wz 006

Amazed every time that Boris can talk to Alec like a piece of shit and get away with it .
I know 006 needs him but beat it out of him.

I remember seeing this for the first time and being so impressed with how fresh and exciting it was after Binder's last few stale efforts. It was a new era for Bond. Although GE has gone down in my estimation over the years.

The opening credits are one of the best as well but I agree it’s starting to date now as a film -24 years later !!!! God time flies !!
