The Elephant hunt has too many dumb jokes but it's enjoyable enough. Really enjoying this tonight.

Good fight scene in Octopussy's palace. Those guards of her's are seriously sexy!

Just brilliant scene when Bond confronts Orloff. Followed by a really cool shootout. The film really moves fast now.....

Ok, the Cuban Rum is opened and it's Octopussy tonight.

Wonderful proper gunbarrel and we're into one of the best PTS of the Moore era. Brilliant stuff. Technically superb and exciting.

Just finished it myself - yet another one that delivered one of the best viewings I've had in ages. It's always been an underrated gem for me but it ranks even higher this time around. Not a fan of the in-universe acknowledgement of the 007 theme, the tuk-tuk chase isn't that engaging (just seems to be a checklist of stereotypes and cultural items) and the final assault by Octopussy and Magda is a little cheesy, but it has so much on offer. Love that film.

Agreed @Creasy47 it's got some silly moments but overall it's a cracking Bond adventure. It was the first Bond I'd seen at the cinema since LALD and it got me started on my obsession with 007..!

The Tuk Tuk chase. Silly but huge fun!

I think the guy on the bike was Kevin McClory!

That whole section is excellent! And it gets better with the race to the circus. John Glen does a really good job here!

    NSNA:

"I took the precaution of not being followed."

"And that's why you shouted my name across the harbor?"

This film has several instances that make me laugh out loud. Lots to enjoy in this, especially for an unofficial installment. I have a blast with it every time, it seems.

I'd be up for a Bond viewing tomorrow or Saturday if the start time was around 9-10pm EST

I'd gladly join if I wasn't busy then. Not free until Saturday evening through the rest of the weekend. I'm really loving this recent Bondathon, I honestly might do another shortly after or just pick and choose through some favorites and watch them again. I've been having a lot of fun with it.

I just realized that Valerie Leon, the hotel receptionist in TSWLM, is the woman in the Bahamas that "catches" Bond out at sea while fishing. Interesting.

Looking into it, I see Admiral Chuck Farrel from GE also has a bit role in this. I already knew about Manning Redwood (I think that's all of the connections in terms of actors to have appeared in this and at least one other EON installment).

    AVTAK:

I always admire May Day's arc in this, someone who would do anything for Zorin and is always on his heels in hopes of protecting him (while sharing some fiery, passionate sexuality) to realizing she was nothing more than a pawn, jumping to the good side to help save the day through happily sacrificing her own life to spite Zorin and wreck his aspirations. Love it.

He could probably swim, and was in pretty good shape.

An agent has been killed in the PTS and Bond's going to delay his briefing of the situation in exchange for getting laid. Excellent.

After a hugely enjoyable watch of OP last night it's time to crack open the Whiskey and delve into Goldeneye.

    Nice gunbarrel.

Good stunt with the bungee jump. Silly moment in the toilet, then a good PTS even though it doesn't make one iota of sense.

    Oh I want that DB5...!

Brosnan really does look awkward in these Casino scenes. Very self conscious.
