Bond's Sir Hillary inverness cape is kind of cool.

I love scenes where Bond is checking his room for bugs.............and this is a classic one.

    The Angels of Death.

So many Hammer Horror beauties here.

I'm particularly enamored by the lovely Julie Ege sitting on George's right.

Anouska Hempel, Jenny Hanley, Joanna Lumley, damn.

    Bond meets Blofeld.

Damn this is a great Bond film.

Holy crap. I can see why so many fans place this as their number 1.

You are funny, pretending not to like girls.

Jack Tripper would have to do the same 8 years later.

    It's true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is where Bond effs up and gets caught.

    Irma is terrifying.

    Great Blofeld scene.

Blofeld trims the tree while putting Bond in his place.

Telly Savalas is easily my favorite Blofeld.

    No question.

I'm barely commenting as I'm so enthralled yet again.

    This is superbly edited.

The proposal scene is astonishing. Wonderful performance by Diana. George is amazing here as well.

That was a great viewing of MAJESTY'S.

Now cemented firmly in my top 5

I've been appreciating Charles Gray more lately, but Savalas is definitive, IMO.

You've really had me craving a viewing of this while reading your comments. It ended up in my #2 spot this past ranking, the highest it's ever reached (it's usually Top 3-5 for me). If it wasn't so late, I'd pop it in. Would like to get another viewing in of it soon and I'll inevitably watch it on Christmas day, as well.

It really hit the spot tonight.

Agreed. He has the presence and physical threat the others just don't have.

I will wait nearer to Christmas to watch it again.

Ditto Leonardpine! It doesnt get any better thsn OHMSS! Number 1 for me always! And agreed about Savalas, has all the traits of a great Bond villain with the added bonus of being a physical threat to 007. The ski chase and that final bobsled sequence are better than most modern action set pieces!

God yes! The Bobsled is one of the best and gripping action scenes in the series. Beautifully edited and shot.

Been a week since I've watched a Bond.

    QUANTUM OF SOLACE

    Shortest film in the series.

That opening shot is pretty damn cool. It would be even cooler if the iris opened on it.

Great Arnold score, IMO. He is sorely missed. The two year gaps are sorely missed.

The PTS chase is quite exciting, really.Reminds me of a modern version of the Three Blind Mice chase. Craig's facial expressions rival Sean's in sheer brilliance.

    Great PTS. Short and sweet.

I must say I love the titles. The song has some oomph to it as well.

If I knew the words I'd be singing along.

The titles display the gunbarrel dots.

Bond and his PPK are reunited after a more than a decade of that other gun.

    Welcome back old friend.

M thinks Bond looks like sh*t.

He looks bad ass in this one.

Mr White looks good here as well. I suppose Marc Forster can take credit here. I think Bond, Mr White and M all look substantially better in this film than in CR. And I thought they didn't look bad in that film.

This film has a slickness and polish to it's overall look as well.

    Rooftop chase is brilliant.

I'm really digging the PPK, and Craig's open neck look. I like when Bond ditches the tie.

    Great action sequence.

I like the LONDON title caption.

I remember fans whining on the forums about these location title cards, but I thought they were cool,

Again Craig looks amazing in his overcoat. His hair is good.

The short and spiky look during certain scenes of CR reminded me of the little kid Dalton scares at the amusement park as he jumps over the rail gun in hand.

Bond in the polo shirt and sunglasses looking classic.
The fight with Slate is excellent. Reminds me of OHMSS.

    MICKEY G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Here's Olga.

    Happy birthday, Olga.

    GET IN!!!!!!

Camille is without question and without hesitation, my favorite Craig era Bond girl.

Mathieu Amalric would make an outstanding Renfield.

I'm quite into his performance here. Not a bad villain. Not sure where I'd rank him, but he improves with each viewing.

Elvis makes Truman-Lodge look like Red Grant.

Still he's a pretty cool henchman, and has a creepy quality.

I think Medrano is an excellent Bond and underrated villain.

No one ever seems to discuss him. He has a great imposing look and presence.
Bond effs up Camille's assassination of Medrano.............and we're led into a boat chase that reminds me of INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE.

This is a lot of fun.

Nearly everyone I knew thought this Bond film was crap back in 2008.

I felt like it's only supporter.

Gunbarrel quibble aside I felt the series had really gotten back on track after DAD.

This film reminded me not only of Connery at his peak, but Dalton and Laze.

Here's one of my favorite scenes.................Gregory Beam.

    My main man!

Forget the Moneypenny spin-off film. I want a Gregory Beam movie.

Feiix is great. He doesn't say much, but has an amazing presence.

I think the '80's mustache should come back, and Gregory Beam is just the one to restart a classic trend.

"We should just deal with NICE people".

This film has some great lines.

    Can I offer an opinion?

I really think I should find another place for this film to rank.

Meh. I was going to do it anyway. I re-rank the films every time I watch one.

    Bond in his cardigan.

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

    Damn Craig looks cool here.

Craig on the pane drowning his sorrows in martinis.

    Classic Fleming esque scene.
I should get my hair cut like Craig's tomorrow.

    Traffic permitting.

    Schedule permitting.

    Bond meets Fields.

    Another underrated Bond girl.

She's not really my favorite, but she definitely had spark.

Gives Bond s**t and I like that.

Perhaps if she had more screen time?

Maybe I'm just won over by Camille?

    That's it.

    I can't find the.............stationary.

We need more seduction scenes like this in current Bond films. It's becoming a lost art.

The party scene is another favorite. I think somewhere here might have been appropriate to fit the "Bond, Jame Bond" line.

    Oh, well.

Camille effs up Greene's sh*t and embarrasses him in front of everyone.

    Great scene.

The Mathis death scene is pretty moving.

This one moves very fast. More than halfway through and I feel I've only been watching it five minutes.

Bond arrives at an airport in the middle of nowhere. I like scenes where Bond drives out into the middle of nowhere.

Another action scene........this also reminds me a bit of Indiana Jones.
The Camille backstory scene is solid. Reminds me a bit of Honey's backstory scene.

I also love the bit of them walking in the desert and taking the bus into town.
The climax is pretty good. The fight between Camille and Medrano is excellent.
Bond leaves Greene in the desert to be killed by Quantum.

Meanwhile Waltz's Blofeld is stroking his cat knowing Bond won't get laid at the end of this adventure and laughing evilly.

Very Gala Brand as Camille walks off never to be heard from again.

That was fun. Been awhile since I watched this one. Recapturing the love I had for this film in 2008. Great stuff here.
