    Philly is just as scenic.

    :)

Home of the real James Bond, the ornithologist.

Anyone here have snow right now? Some of mine is melting, but there's enough to make it a white Christmas.

Only a dusting so far this season. We usually don't get any substantial snowfall until January.

The trip to Piz Gloria is another highlight. Love the score and cinematography.

None in NYC where it's in the 50s this week.

I like Bond's inverness cape. I don't think anyone can pull that off these days, but it's pretty great.

I'm at the top of the state. We still have some snow.

Very Sherlock Holmes. Good look for Sir Hilary.

Since Lazenby was a model, I guess he could.

What era of Bond did everyone grow up in? Pretty sure I remember Birdleson grew up during the 60s era Bond.

I was born in the 80s and Goldeneye was the first I saw.

80's and '90's for me. Roger was my first Bond.

    Ah, the Angels of Death.
Julie Ege is my favorite Angel of Death.

Angela Scoular, great secondary Bond girl. Very troubled and tragic story.

The lovely Joanna Lumley as the “English” girl. From what I’ve read she did a lot of post-production dubbing for the rest of Blofeld’s Angels. BTW: Her former husband, Jeremy Lloyd had a small role in the Beatles 1st movie, “A Hard Day’s Night”, and, of course, she starred as Purdy in the “New Avengers.”

Still waiting for Linda Thorson to do a Bond cameo so that The Avengers/James Bond link can be completed though 😊.

Several Hammer beauties here: Jenny Hanley, Anouska Hempel, Lumley, Ege

I've watched promo commercials for that, as well as clips from the cut up and narrated version of OHMSS. While the access to Bond was much more limited, I miss television events like this where everyone would get excited and have to wait for a new Bond to air on television.

Nice! Joanna Lumley is my favorite. Wrote her a handful of years back and was very nice to send me an autograph.

I really love the Barry score here as Bond adjourns to meet Blofeld.

This is definitely one of the more mysterious soundtracks. Weird sound effects, definitely gives this whole place a creepy vibe.

The ABC airings were an event. My folks let me stay up every time to watch them.

    Good choices.

I also like Jenny Hanley and Anouska Hempel, but I'm on a Julie Ege fixation lately. LOL

Same here! They would play different ones 2-4 times a year.

That ABC cut of OHMSS sucked. Completely turned me off from the movie until I saw a DVD in the '90s.

It starts out so strange! The first scene is the ski chase with Bond narrarating over it. I'm surprised EON let them get away with it, they probably didn't care at that point about OHMSS as it seemed to be the era where they just wanted it erased from memory anyway.

Bond gets shocked. Genuinely startled, George seems there.

Seems like it would be an awful lot of work getting out of that entire get up George has on.

In addition to OHMSS, ABC really butchered the Connery Bonds. Removing the gunbarrel and PTS to GF, the entire gypsy camp section of FRWL............... words fail me. Still great fun to watch.

    Hilly! You old devil!

BTW. Ms. Chong passed away a couple of years ago.
