I must say I really hope the rumors of Bond marrying again in the new film are false.
I just don't want Bond married to anyone other than Tracy unless Fleming himself comes back from the grave and writes it.
Me, too.
That's fair. It would have been nice to have a payoff moment between those two given the repitoire they had over their 6 film run together. The DAF scene was so minor, Lois's shortest screentime I believe.
"There's a fly in her soup!"
She's just dead.
Yes.
That was a lot of fun, guys.
We should do this again soon.
Somehow, the invite escaped me. Darn!
Me, too. It was 3.30 in the morning where I live, but appreciated nonetheless.
Climax: CASINO ROYALE
Had to back it up and replay this as I was distracted so I'm watching it twice.
I love the low budget live TV look.
Apparently this was originally broadcast and shot in color, but only the black and white print exists.
Similar to Jack Webb's 1954 Christmas DRAGNET episode : "The Big Little Jesus".
Lorre is an excellent villain. The best Le Chiffre of all, IMO.
I love it, though.
I really like Barry Nelson's haircut. Just as Fleming described in LIVE AND LET DIE.
I should go back and rank this one much higher just based on how much I love this.
TV noir at it's finest.
Bond is tortured in the bathtub with pliers.
His screams are pretty intense. Poor Jimmy.
This is pretty graphic really. They wouldn't be able to do this today as it would be deemed too intense. I can see Nelson's Bond being a WWII veteran in the U.S. Navy.
The kine-scopes were black and white, but the original broadcast apparently was in color. Like to find more information on this as I don't always trust Wikipedia.
Curious what color Bond's dinner jacket was here.
Been ages since I posted here as it's been a rough start to 2020 for me.
Just had an ice storm last night; everything frozen over, yet I managed to chip my way into my vehicle and drive home this morning. All night as I watched the freezing rain ice my town over I kept feeling there is but ONE movie appropriate for the occasion...............
DIE ANOTHER DAY
Controversial opinion here: I love the gunbarrel. Arnold's rendition of the Bond theme here gets me going to the point I overlook the bullet.
Brosnan as his most dashing. He really looks great in the PTS.
I firmly maintain the opinion Pierce had some of the coolest clothes in the series.
