The Oddjob fight remains one of my favorites in the series. Great stuff here. Bond is getting thrashed.

I love that Bond has no clue how to defuse the bomb and is visibly stressed out here.
A bit of a cop out that Felix's CIA buddy saves the day, but I kind of like that actually.

Did you notice the laser table and its connecting support beam is a giant, stylized 'AG'?

    A VIEW TO A KILL

Watching the old 2000 SE DVD version now.
The gunbarrel is properly framed for a change here.
Also the titles are brighter are far more neon and bluish.

Of course I only saw this once in the cinema in 1985, so I don't really remember what it looked like. This version is a tad magenta.

The platform for Mayday to leap from is painfully obvious.

The shot of Stacey's mansion has the earth tremor that was removed by Lowery. Glad to see it reinstated.

The Zorin Industries jackets are more blue/gray than turquoise in this transfer.
Overall I find this earlier AVTAK preferable to what Lowery did later.
Pity this version couldn't have been used for the Blu-ray.
I like the colors here far more.

    OOOOOHHHHHHHH

It's my one day off this week. Eff it.
    I'm watching another Bond.................

    THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH

I remember when this was first on VHS I'd re-watch the PTS repeatedly just for Maria Grazia Cucinotta, one of my favorite Brosnan era Bond girls.

I'm the same age that Pierce was when this was released. By that calculation I was in my early-mid twenties when this was out and basically dressing older, getting my TWINE haircut, etc. I must have really wanted to be older back then. Now I'm here. Hooray!

He does look great in this one.

I love the scenes in Scotland at the castle. Great M/Q/Moneypenny section.

Every time I go to a funeral, I try to look like Bond here. Next time I go all the way and put on a sling.

I think this is my most watched Pierce movie this year. I was going to pop in DAD, but I think I'll wait for autumn for that one.
Ah, the wonderful Q. How I miss Desmond, He'd be 107 this year, next month.
The R bit isn't quite as funny as intended, IMO.

Bond looks like he's about to weep while viewing the Elektra kidnap videos.
I remember those bulky computer screens.
Bond calls M on her B.S. in front of everyone then looks like he's going to physically attack her for a moment before saying "What Happened?".

My favorite Brosnan reading of "Bond, James Bond" is to Elektra. I like that he keeps it simple here. We'll get an over the top outlandish delivery later.

See you back at the lodge.

Great quip. Sir Roger would be proud.

Elektra has a panic attack whereas Tracy kept her cool during the Blofeld avalanche.
    Pierce is great here.

Brosnan sneaking around after the bedroom scene with Elektra is one of my favorite sneaky Bond moments in the series.

Silly way to end an impressive pts, though I dont know what the alternative would have been?

Must admit I adore this title sequence!
Song isnt too bad either. I remember Sheena Easton when she came on thescene first!
Apparently Easton moved too much while filming ...so Binder had to put her head in a clamp!
