This is my favorite Craig PTS by far. This is classic.
Naomi Harris is a great Moneypenny. I think it's cool to see Moneypenny kick some ass ..................just so happens to be Bond's ass, and he's down for the count...................

    ....................into the titles.

Rory Kinnear is great. His dad was in one of my all time favorite movies: TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA

The MI6 explosion was quite the startling moment in the cinema.
Bond finally gets some action with a random Bond girl. She is never to be seen again
I love the bit at the beach bar.

I like that it rains in the Craig films. Gives his era a noir like atmosphere.

The cinematography is wonderful. Normally I loathe digital, much preferring the look of 35mm film. This looks Bondian enough for me.
I should do my research: was this shot digital?

Bond misses his target and looks at his spectators as if trying to come up with an excuse as to why he missed:

I was aiming for the back up he had behind him.

Sir James Moloney? This echoes Fleming.

Mallory's "Don't cock it up" reminds me of Tanner's "Try not to much it up again"

Bond is on a mission here.
I don't get the theory that the Craig films lack missions.
He's definitely on a mission in this one. The personal element to the story is more between Silva and M.

Bond is undercover wearing a goofy hat, sunglasses and beard.

Love the casino sequence. One of my favorites in the entire series. I also love his "Bond, James Bond" delivery in this one.

It's been awhile since I read TSWLM novel, but I feel the Vivienne Michel seduction scene took place in a shower. I wonder if the Severine bit was inspired by that?
Of course I could be way off.
The Severine scene never bothered me. She's clearly waiting for Bond to come spend the night.

Quivering, gigantic close up of Craig's face as he awaits Silva.

Television movies used to utilize this effect. The enormous close up.

I believe, my hero, Jack Webb was an early pioneer of this style on DRAGNET.

Another meaningless, and rather unfunny comparison of SKYFALL to DRAGNET.

I thought it was funny at least.

    The Silva/Bond seduction sequence.

The audience roared with laughter, whereas a few of my lifelong Bond fan friends groaned.

The scene outdoors when Severine is shot is pretty intense.
Craig's hair looks quite a bit shorter here.

Silva is a alias name, feeding fuel the codename theory.
However, this film will reveal later on once and for all that James Bond's real name is.............James Bond.
Hence the tombstones of his parents.

I love the rapport between Bond and Q during the Craig era.
I'll not only miss Craig, but Whishaw as I sincerely doubt and of the MI6 team will be returning. :(

The tube train sequence is my favorite set piece in this film.

Tanner has the best facial expressions.

The court battle is pretty good. I like seeing Mallory get into the action.

.........meanwhile Bond is running to his destination like Adam West and Burt Ward in
    BATMAN THE MOVIE.

    The wonderful Albert Finney.

Momentarily distracted and had to back this up......................poor M has been shot and Newman's theme jingle plays repeatedly in the background.

The Aston Martin exploding reminds me of STAR TREK III: THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK when the Starship Enterprise is destroyed only to return in the next film.
Well, in a different incarnation, but still the same principle.

I think Judi Dench should come back as M for the next Bond actor's era.
We're living in a time when that could be feasible and embraced.

    Another groundbreaking viewing.
    Love this film!

    SKYFALL

Watching this one in an effort to definitively decide if I prefer this or CR.

Bond looks like Joe Friday here, only blond.

This is the city. Istanbul, Turkey.
    I work here. I carry a PPK.

I love the PTS, and actually the lack of a gunbarrel didn't make me angry enough to morph into the HULK this time.

I am really digging Craig's Jack Webb haircut in the PTS. He looks great here.

I also love that he's a bit older and more chiseled.

Still bugs the hell out of me, that opening shot with glaring music cue...hate it!

Its just so ordinary...you could imagine it in any run-of-the- mill tv cop show...it just doest feel Bondian ( whatever that is!!)

THE best scene in the movie, its the only time, apart from most if the pts, that I felt like I was watching a Bond film!!!

Again, pretty ordinary, doesn't scream Bond!!

I keep giving SF a second chance ( and some!), but it keeps letting me down! I shall continue to do so, as I love Craig as Bond, and will really miss him after NTTD!
