Ok, I need to pick a decent film for my next watch!
Not one of my better ideas here!

No Time to Die. I’m compiling my thoughts elsewhere and will post them here if it’s ok (spoilers?)

When I get the Blu-ray or DVD (whichever format my eyes target in the stores first), the first thing I'm doing is posting my traditional comments here. I probably won't be shy or sympathetic regarding spoilers by that point. I'm over that.

    Damn I'm thirsty tonight.
Watched NTTD again this past weekend and am aching for another Craig Bond outing.

    SKYFALL it is.

I really do love this PTS.
Tanner has the greatest facial expressions here.
I really do like Craig's look in this film. His haircut is very Joe Friday, especially when he's wearing the gray suits.

Love this opening. Bond fell a mile.
    ............into these wonderful titles.

I sat right behind film critic Michael Medved when I saw this for the first time. A friend had gotten us passes to a press screening a few days before the opening. Oddly this screening had probably the worst print of the several times I saw this in the cinema.
The press were also extremely noisy during the film and a little annoying.
When Judi Dench speaks, I expect silence from the audience. Show some respect.
Still it was a wonderful time. One of the best experiences I ever had seeing a new Bond for the first time.

Ralph Fiennes is my new favorite M.
I thought he really looked the part in the new film. He does a marvelous job as Mallory , although I have reservations about the name Mallory. Reminds me too much of a 1980's sitcom called FAMILY TIES starring Michael J Fox.
He should've been called Messervy. We all knew he was going to be the new M anyway.

@Mathis1. I'm a bit late to the game, but I loved your comments on TND.
That's one Bond film I was actually disappointed in upon my first viewing. Felt a little letdown, though everyone else I was with seemed to love it. it's grown on me over the years.

The shot of Bond jogging on the treadmill as Tanner rambles on is kind of funny.

The word association scene is funny, too.
I love Bond's FFS expression here.

Now..now @ToTheRight. I thought that Justine Bateman was very attractive. :))

There were a few Bond references on that show. One particular episode in which Michael J Fox springs for tickets to the latest Bond film which Mallory had already seen. She loved it, while her ineffectual date hated it.

Whishaw as the new Q. Great introductory scene with Bond here. Q sure has a lot of hair in SKYFALL.

Seems to get a lot of flack these days, but I really like Newman's music for this film.
It's loud, bold and Bondian enough for me.

I thought Newman's score had some great noir-ish elements to it.

    Good analogy. Vey noirish.

My favorite Craig delivery of "Bond, James Bond", though I think CR's is the best.
    I love the simplicity here.

Craig is great during the fight at the casino. I could see Roger Moore doing this scene. Nice to throw in a little fun during the darker Craig era.

The Silva monologue. Bardem was a great choice for this film. Somehow his name seems weak to me: Raoul Silva. I suppose it's okay, but it's not exactly Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Hugo Drax.

I guess the film does have a kind of THE DARK KNIGHT vibe at least during the bit where SIlva is captured.
Watched that film again recently and strangely it's my least favorite of that trilogy.

I love the bit where Bond stops for a pee and to reflect on life out in the beautiful scenic locales of Scotland. M starts needling him about his past.

Albert Finney remains one of my all time favorite actors.

The HOME ALONE scene. To this day I have still never seen that movie. We are nearing Christmas, perhaps this year? Nah, I'll just watch OHMSS again.

    M used the "F" word.

The Thomas Newman theme that gets repeated in SPECTRE.
I have no idea what that piece of music is actually called as I never bought the Newman soundtracks. Eventually I'll remedy that.

The ice lake scene reminds me the colder weather is coming and the lake I live near will freeze over. Bond is actually dressed pretty lightly for this here.

Silva looks pretty exhausted as he enters the chapel. M is barely holding up.
This scene is pretty intense until it becomes funny.

Superb climax and a wonderful reintroduction to the classic office,
Great to be back on this thread.
Been juggling a couple of jobs and haven't had as much time to relax lately.
Lots of changes in my life this year: ups and downs but it's always good to have 007 to depend on when one needs to unwind.

Making this a double feature tonight:
    THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS.

    The 2000 SE DVD edition.
I prefer the colors on this version to the Lowery restoration.

Much like Bond and Ronson more or less had the same haircut in SF the double O agents in 1987 did the same. They all go to Kurt the Barber and say give me the haircut James is wearing this year.

    I like Bond's PTS watch.

The titles are much brighter here.
    Not so greenish in hue.
I believe a-ha's tune and Garbage were the only new Bond themes in my lifetime I heard for the first time in the cinema. Oh, well there's NSNA.
I'm pretty sure I had heard All Time High on the radio prior to seeing OCTOPUSSY.

I remember my mom gasping in the cinema when the bed clothes are removed to reveal Bond's sniper rifle.
