This is my favorite large set battle climax in the series. Fort Knox is 2nd and the volcano 3rd for me.

The large "final battle" is one of the things that I've most missed during the Craig era. Having scores of guys going at it - while the action is still centered on Bond - really highlights the "importance" of defeating the villain.

Same here. We haven't had that since TLD.

    Good review, @ToTheRight
TSWLM is a strange one for me. I like it, but don't love it! It seemed to be always turning up on Telly at Christmas and I was indifferent to watch it! Its well made, and I can see how it brought Bond back to blockbuster after TMWTGG, but it's more a comfortable viewing for me than compelling!

See what you mean, @Mathis1. When I was a kid I liked it, but prefered FYEO and LALD. These days it's pretty hight for me. Then again, OP gets a lot of love, too. :)

Watching ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE right now.

Bond finds Nancy in his Piz Gloria suite. I never fail to be riveted by this film. My annual Christmastime viewing.
There's snow and ice where I live, and I had to trek thru the ice just to get a few items at the store. Sadly my car was junked this past summer, so I walk everywhere for the time being.
It's kind of nice, actually: cute girls tend to wave when they see you walking along.
Speaking of gorgeous beauties, here we have the Angels of Death, Julie Ege being my favorite.

Blofeld warns Campbell not to trespass.
I have a friend that thinks Bernard Horfall was a dead ringer for WIlliam Katt- The Greatest American Hero.
I fail to see any resemblance.

I love this bit where Bond gets caught and knocked out.
Great Blofeld/Bond confrontation scene. Blofeld has a nice Christmas tree. I wonder if he knows how they're grown?

I love Bond's escape from Piz Gloria.

Indeed. My comments were minimal and I got distracted. :(

Off to a thunderous start with a superb gunbarrel, and a very interestingly choreographed fight

Tom Jones is amazing. How the hell does he hit that note. Btw funny how the jetpack flying seems unrealistic, even though it was done for real

I suppose my silence could have a price... And then her smile makes it ok. Wonder how the current woke crowd will handle this one.

And as the plane takes off, the film slows down. But first the midnight stroll. Haven't you had enough excersize for one night? Funny you should say that..
