The only thing that bothers me with regards to the London finale is Moneypenny, Q, and Tanner's intrusiveness. As if MI6 doesn't have any other employees to put to use.

It seems they have more employees than whoever worked in C's building! Place is bone dry on the night of a major surveillance program launch.
That was bothersome as well, and the only true instance in the film where there is an actual complete lack of extras.

Agreed, though I'm still a bit bothered by how empty Rome is during the Bond/Hinx car chase. However, it's not as bad as the aforementioned scene, nor as bad as it seemed when I saw the movie for the first few times.

GOLDFINGER with all the unfortunate GF bashing on this site lately, I feel compelled to screen this one again, It's still my number 1.
Never noticed this before but when M says "This isn't a personal vendetta, 007", Connery straightens himself up almost military style. Very subtle, but shows Connery's Bond although at the brink of getting emotionally wrapped up in Jill knows when to keep his cool in the presence of M.
    Golf sequence- Oddjob!

You're not alone. Many of us, mostly the older posters, have it at number one.

It fluctuates with DN, and FRWL as my number one. Can't beat the first three Connery Bonds IMO. In fact I was so enthralled with this viewing I didn't post much here like I intended to. Also my better half came in and got absorbed by GF and she watched it with me.

NSNA again... So who is Sean playing in NSNA it can't be the same Bond as He played before or Roger or Tim etc just a thought.

One thing that let's the opening sequence down other than it being a training exercise, is the filters and sets the film initially is dull looking.

The script for the scene in M's office is dreadful

Fatima definitely a highlight of this film

    Max makes a good Ernst

Fatima is worthy of an official Bond film..brilliant performance by Barbara Carrera.

I was just thinking the same thing, also Pat Roach should have been in the Eon films.

Bonds stuntman is ropey when throwing punches

In a serious role, ala Hinx ,he would have been perfect, agreed.

The Roach fight is way ahead of Roger and Mcnee fighting goons in AVTAK kind of a compliment. Absolutely Roach in a serious role he would have been excellent, I thought of Hinx whilst watching Roach fight similar build and height.

The visual and practical effects in TB are alot better than NSNA

Legrand's score was great... That he did for The Three Musketeers, his score for NSNA Is erratic and does not fit Bond for the most part.

    The 00's have been reactivated

The 80's the decade of Chandeliers

NSNA upscaled to 4K Domino may as well be topless in her leotard.

This film is a mixed bag, the second act is good.

There are some really good shots in this film that remind you the director of the best Star Wars film directed this, though it really is mixed possibly down to a poor second unit?

When the budget allows I agree there is some great cinematography with a few Dutch angles thrown in, Connery in a selection of shots really is photographed well.

The scene when Bond and Domino are captured looks stunning, the picture and detail look very good superb lighting.

No horses were harmed during filming

I have always thought Vicky Vale was gorgeous.

Some incidental scenes look like they were shot with a camcorder.

It is a nicely fired entry. I think (regardless of the cheap looking sets) that NSNA is one of the better photographed Bond films. The first BluRay I bought was crap. The later release is for superior.

I didn't know NSNA was re-released on Blu-ray. I can remember a special edition that came out in '08 with a few short documentaries and an audio commentary by Irvin Kershner. The transfer was sharper than the very early DVD version, but the colors were far more subdued. There's a later version that's superior? I'll have to track it down.

The pacing is off for the finale of NSNA though I am seeing sequences I completely forgot about.

The difference between the dvd and the Bluray of NSNA Is a chasm.

Kim Basinger pool scene at the end of the film crikey!

Connery does well to be as lean as he was in NSNA respect to a legend.

The first BluRay ( the one that was poor quality) just contained the BluRay disc. I've since given it away and cannot remember the label. The superior one contains the DVD and BluRay packaged together; it says Collector's Edition on the front cover.

I'll have to get that version, now. I kind of wish the DVD and Blu-ray had the original Warner Bros logo at the beginning. The Orion Logo cheapens the opening IMO. A little nit-picky on my part.

Going to attempt to watch TWINE I do like the soundtrack which will get me so far...

    Pierce got the short straw

    Picture does not look great

Everything about this film looks bland

The Thames boat chase is awesome

Bond falling on the Millenium dome awesome, and great lead into a underrated Bond theme by Garbage.

I don't rate this film though I feel like I am watching a Bond film, I hate SF in comparison

    Touching moment with Desmond

I remember watching this in the cinema, Desmond exit really got me what a legend

It would have made sense for Dench's M to die in Brosnans era, there is a stronger emotional connection between Dench and Brosnan IMO.

    I know it's a reboot Dench is playing 2 different M's.

This is one of the worst shot Bond films, average Cinematography

Elektra 'tell me have you ever lost a loved one Mr Bond' I love Brosnans body language in response, shakes of that question very well.

Elektra is a highlight enjoy the opening to the Skiing sequence, some good subtle body language from both actors. Bond picked up on something in Elektra's character whilst in the helicopter, good subtle moment.

Parahawks inept chase sequence ensues, score is good though.

Most of the action scenes in TWINE feel shoehorned into the film

Wow this film is bad Renard just showed up

    Denise Richards

When Brosbond confronts Renard he is way too rattled, this film veers into soap opera territory too frequently.

Bond finally figured out Elektra psychology and then retracts, Bond is much smarter than this, this is basic script with poor characterization.

Been months since I saw some Bond, firing up TMWTGG for Moore now. Can't believe there was a grand period of time where I really didn't care for almost the entirety of this movie. Not that it needs to be said, but Moore is absolutely fantastic in this.

"What do you know about a man called Scaramanga, 007?"

"Scaramanga? Oh, yes! The man with the golden gun. The theme song literally just ended, sir, didn't you listen?"

Also, I've noticed this over the past couple of years, and I figure most others have, but when Bond and Goodnight first arrive at the hotel, you can see the same green Rolls Royce pulling away that dropped off Miss Anders.
