Oh Kara I do adore you. So cute and innocent. One of my favorite Bond girls. The 'if there was a man' music cues also help.one of Barry's finest

Maybe we like TLD for different reasons! I like the other two songs better.

Barry's entire score in phenomenal. As is Necros. Dalton's only weakness is the quip in my opinion 'salt corrosion' and others come off a little weak

I like the line itself but yes Dalton clearly did not like it, it's such a Moore line

Whitaker just got introduced. Definitely a weaker secondary villain but I do like Joe Don Baker himself.

Rhys-Davies as Pushkin is fantastic. I know Gotell as Gogol was suppose to originally play the role, and I'm sure that would have been great, but I would have missed Pushkin.

Just got to the carnival scene. Another one of my all time favorites!!

Good place to stop for a martini intermission. Dalton I think does the best shaken not stirred delivery. I do think the first half of TLD may be the best half of any Bond film.

    It's definitely up there.

Second half isnt as strong but still very good. Some really big explosions at the air Base. Necros and Bond hanging off the back of the plane is quite intense.

Whitaker's character as a whole is average and the ending is just okay for him but the line 'You've had your eight now I'll have my eighty' is tremendous

Final scene is so beautiful so perfect. Martinis, Bond gets the girl, and credits roll with some of Barry's finest. Trying not to tear up!

At least it's a different take on Bond vs army

Several weeks now since I last watched a Bond and now LICENCE TO KILL happens to be the one I'm in the mood for.
    Felix's wedding:
Come and knock on my doooooooor. Della's a bit flirtatious with Timmy Bond considering she's marrying his best buddy.

    Felix torture:
Pretty disturbing scene that belongs more in a Lethal Weapon movie. I love it!!!!
I've seen this uncut version so many times now I forget what was in place of the stump shot. I may have to track down an old copy of the SE edition.

Yeah. I love Tim, but also the angle of that shot of him holding Della where he's emoting..... it seems the camera's directly focused on Tim's thinning spot. It's not a flattering shot of him.

    Warehouse scene
I love it- Sharkey, Tim kicking Killifer's as$. Great stuff here.
I must say, the blu-ray looks amazing. Almost too good for this particular film.
In the cinema this scene was far more dirty looking and grainy. Most of LICENCE, in fact looked like a Chuck Norris or Charles Bronson Cannon Film. The Blu-ray ups the color timing considerably, although a bit unfaithfully. The only glamorous shots to evoke the classic Bond cinematography were in the casino. Vivid colors and contrasts there. Lupe's red dress really popped out.

    Bond sneaking aboard the Wavekrest.
One of my favorite sections of this one. Tim looks intense with the knife in hand.

One of my favorite, immediate payback moments in the series. Brutal way to go, too.

    Water-ski bit.

In the cinema the audience cheered loudly here. I remember it as if it were yesterday.
Interesting considering, the Moore era had only been four years previously and the audience would laugh at his one liners and cheer at the stunt sequences.

I suppose maybe it has to do with the fact the stunts here are real (aside from a few shots of questionable back projection).
Perhaps today's audiences aren't as vocal? I sat the QOS 5 times in the cinema and not one cheer each screening.

    M's office.
Construction of this set obviously would have been done at Churubusco Studios. The red leather door, which later became a brown leather door is now blue.

    Casino scene.
Considering all the crap Tim gets for his hair in this section. I just now discovered, it could have been a lot worse. Just look at the guy who guides Bond and Pam into the casino.

Dalton also makes an incredibly goofy expression after getting punched directly in the face during that Barrelhead fight.
