I really loved the mechanics and the gameplay footage in PC version of NightFire. It was amazing. Just it lacked more development on the plot, other than that, i rate it 5 of 5.

Isn't the PC version exactly like the console version just without the driving missions?

The trouble with a Bond RPG is that Bond has all the skills from the outset. So it would either have to be a video game Bond reboot or focus the game on a new OO Agent (but not in the way GE:RA did). The latter I would prefer if it had RPG elements.
Bond can have basic skills at the outset, with the player developing them over the course of the story. Bond might have a little charisma at the start, enabling him to charm information out of people, but as his charisma skills improve, he can charm more information out of people than before, or charm it out of them faster, or be able to charm it out of people who resisted earlier in the game.

That's a great idea. Jesus, why doesn't Activision just hire us to work on the next Bond game, and have a developer design the game based on our specs.

Because with so many ideas it may just amount to one big mess. I think Activsion know what to do, just not how to get it right!

Well, let's be honest here, none of Activision's outings have been bad. They're three and a half Bond games in, and they haven't produced a huge clusterf*ck like Rogue Agent yet.

    lets be even more honest...

Rocksteady needs to do Bond why cause Arkham city is brilliant (actually they can do bond under the condition they still release batman games)

Well, if Activision and EA are any indicator, Rocksteady could make Bond AND Batman games, and nobody'll really mind it. EA still made their sports and other games (I forget what) while they had the Bond license, and Activision still makes COD and Prototype and other games.

While I like the idea, it just doesn't feel right unless is was a rookie Bond / rookie OO.

a RPG styled Bond game would be interesting.... be your own Bond, instead of filling the shoes of an already established one....

don't get me wrong, I like both 3rd and 1st person games - I think FPS get put down by a lot of gamers, simply because all they think of is COD and Halo and countless others... but games like Fallout 3 and Oblivion (both by Bethesda) work as both a FPA (first person adventure as i call it).. and also 3rd person.... but being 1st person makes me feel like I AM the one who is Bond, not pretending to be Daniel Craig as Bond... if that makes any sense..

but if a company could combine the open world FP elements of a game like a Fallout, Oblivion, or Knights Of The Republic - and balance it with a good deal of driving, gun play, spy work, and action - and maintain a comprehensible story - then i think they'd really be on to something... as far as an FP game would go..

Well, then, clearly BioWare has to work for Bethesda, who must acquire or partner with Activision to make an RPG Bond game with a very long story, decent gameplay and lots of places to travel, and an unexploded nuclear bomb in a city nobody cares about filled with people who worship the bomb.

But no Obsidian. No. Their games have more bugs than my uncle's basement, and he has a roach collection.

No game is without it's bugs - no game is completely perfect in every possible facet...

I wasn't saying one studio or another has to make it - Besthesda is obviously the most well known... any studio with the resources can produce the same game - surely Activision could...... if they really wanted to..... but do they? - thats the question..

But that's the Bond game i envision... let's use Casino Royale as an example here... you would start off in Prague - be able to go between missions there - then once you've completed what you need to in that area - you then hop a plane, and are off to Madagascar to complete a series of missions there - but each location would be free roaming / sand box style play..

it's a little much to ask for - but it would be cool.. and if they somehow made transporting from one city to another like that in AC2 - where in the game you can go to a transport booth... in this game, it would just be the airport - or train station.

Yes I totally agree. I want to 'BE' Bond, not to be Craig's Bond or Brosnan's Bond in the old days. If I play a Bond game it's to portray my own 007 character, not a pre-established one.

If a customization feature was added to make YOUR vision of Bond, how would you like it @DC?

That'd be cool. He'd still have some sort of British accent, of course.
  • my dream bond game (its an open world game):

you can choose to play as anyone of the bonds, or make your own 007 (customise the appearence like at the start of saints row and choose from a selection of voices)

plot idea: the PTS works as a mandatory mission, and its completely seperate to the rest of the game. after that bond is briefed at MI6 HQ about a mysterious group of islands run by a corrupt dictator who MI6 think has stolen several spy planes that could each destroy a city if used correctly, he must investigate. so bond is dropped in and during his time there discovers a plot to destroy washington, moscow, london, beijjing and tokyo in an effort to start world war 3. bond eventually stops the dictator.

you are given an aston martin to start with that you can call to be dropped to you anytime but you can take control of other veichles, you can also free run like on assasins creed.

A new Bond game needs the folowing to make it a classic:
-an original storyline in classic Bond fashion, similiar to that of Nightfire or Everything or Nothing
-voice actors reprising their roles from the movies (if possible)
-special side missions that are unlockable and feature classic fights, chases, battles, etc. from the previous Bond movies
-a fleshed out, good as it gets multiplayer with tons of classic characters and locations from the movies

Just these 4 things would make it great!

I approve of the trailer, I DO NOT APPROVE of using the Resident Evil film font for any part of the title. That font angers me.

Oh, yeah, and what 00Beast says gos, except for maybe the multiplayer part (I want a Bond game to really focus on the single player for once).

While I do like it when this happenes, I actually prefer they don't use the actors or their likeness. That was one of the things I liked about "Agent Under Fire" (yes I loved that game), they didn't use Brosnan or his likeness. I want them to use a Bond that looks more like Fleming's image of Bond (complete with a scar on his cheek), and have a good voice actor to play him.

it was the only logo of Colonel Sun I could find and I just wanted to title the thing. If I find a better logo I'll be more then happy to update the trailer.

Please, do so. I just hate that stupid font.
  • Thank you, Risico. I never saw that video. Have you got the original one? Please upload it so I can watch it fully. Thank you very much.
