So i discovered something funny that somebody most likely noticed already but I'll say it anyway. I was playing a map for Reloaded called "Docks" and it was an exact replica of the Docks level from the Quantum of Solace ps2 version. Brick for brick (pixel for pixel). Found that kinda cool

Yep, it is. When playing the Wii version, that was my most played MP level.
  • Does this game have a gun barrel sequence? We haven't had a game gun barrel sequence since Quantum of Solace (and even then it wasn't a dotted sequence.)

I don't know about Reloaded, but the Wii version didn't.

i hope this game sells well enough - because i would welcome a Eurocom follow-up... the engine they used for this game has created some stunning visuals..

Just so long as it's not a sequel to GoldenEye. I just can't see a sequel to GoldenEye in any way shape or form.

Wow! I had no idea it was getting that good of reviews. I only read the Game Informer review, which it looks like the lowest one, and they were pretty much bad mouthing it because it wasn't CoD. Game Informer is my favorite gaming magazine but they are overly critical with FPS, when they're not CoD, Battlefield, or HALO.

and even a 7/10 for a low score isn't horrible...

but those games are the holy trinity of FPS - heaven forbid another FPS comes along that might actually be a good game. lol.

"Holy trinity" my ass. If more Doom-like or GoldenEye-like games were released, those three wouldn't even be on anyone's games played list.

That's because most of the world was wowed by the "awesomeness of online multiplayer" instead of by the actual components of the game. Back when Doom ruled the world, multiplayer and single player were both praised because they provided the world with the one thing they wanted: FUN. Now we need bells and whistles and "realism" (a human being can hold more than two weapons without being encumbered). People have lost sight of what makes a game good. Thankfully, Eurocom and id Software know what they're doing, and focus on making games fun instead of shiny.
