It is funny given the debate on Donald Trump and his attitude to women. That both my
Daughters can't believe the Connery Bond films and How Bond is slapping women on
The bottom and being very forceful in getting them in to bed. :))

I use my wife as a litmuss test to see if a "fan film" has crossed over into successful mainstream culture.
I am open to sexism allegations here but my wife is typical in that her interests lie in the human/emotion side of life rather than the techical. A good film can cross the boundary and cater for both.
    Three examples:
SF (sorry to mention it again), Rush (she thought she would hate it as she has no time for F1) and Westworld (it is all about being human) despite the main storyline.

In terms of mainstream Bond, she has no tme for it

I like Brosnan in a couple of films. Not as Bond, though.

My wife does, but only for the newer ones really. She visits the cinema with me when new ones are released, which I like. I think she also has a little thing for Daniel Craig too. So, while she doesn't have the interest in all things Bond I do, she does watch the, newer, movies with me.

Agreed..join the ex-wives club...its a happy place...my girlfriend, who i have been with since Nov,isnt into Bond per se,but she was in the room when SP was on and was gobsmacked seeing Bond get 10 bells of shit kicked out of him by Hinx ,and then sat down and watched the rest.

Plus she is perfectly happy for me to put on a Bond film any time,so thats got to be a big plus...but she is Fiilipino..not a 'pain in the arse' English woman...

My ex-wife had no real interest in Bond and it was disappointing at times not to be able to share that excitement with her. It just wasn't her thing. It's obviously not the type of thing that makes or breaks a relationship, but now that I have found someone who can enjoy it along with me I feel that there's no going back!
