Neo-Nazis/Neo-Fascists in Fiction?

So as an offshoot of my thread about John Gardner's Icebreaker (and SeaFire too) I thought it would be an idea to start a thread on Neo-Nazis in fiction more generally. This can be in novels, films, TV, comic strips, computer games etc.

Obviously there is the connected notion of the Fourth Reich which Neo-Nazis wish to bring about in the newly reunified Germany. There are also Neo-Nazis and Neo-Fascists in many other countries as well as just Germany we have to remember.
So what are some of the most memorable fictional depictions of Neo-Nazis?

What inspired villains such as John Gardner's creations Count Konrad von Glöda in Icebreaker (1983) and Sir Max Tarn in SeaFire (1994)?

Are Neo-Nazis and the Fourth Reich plot/attacks on Communists and Jews played out in fiction nowadays or does the concept still have potential in the 21st Century?

Your thoughts please.

A couple of my favs would be Boys From Brazil and Hellboy. There were also a couple of episodes in Millennium that I wish had lasted longer.

So did Doctor Who, in "Remembrance of the Daleks", and of course in "Let's Kill Hitler".

Well, they are great shorthand for nastiness. Saves a lot of exposition ;)

Thank you for that. I have some of that series on BluRay. I need to track down that episode. It sounds very interesting.

No, that's fine too if you would like. I studied the Nazis in History at GCSE, A Level and university and I still find them and the Italian Fascists fascinating. I have that film and I really need to watch it soon. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Bruno Gantz is fantastic in it...its a fascinating insight, and they tried to get the bunker as accurate as they could....so bloody annoying to know that the bunker is still mainly intact under that car park !!....when you watch the film, let me know what u think @Dragonpol ,me old pal.

I'm wading through Goebbels Diaries at the moment, but very interesting...his expressions of love for his children....and look at how that turned out..although he bottled the killings and left it to |Magda and the doctor.

From memory I believe Sir Rog as Simon Templar tangled with neo Nazis on occasion. In one episode he even came across someone claiming to be Hitler's daughter!

I recall the New Avengers episode Thunderpussy mentions as I watched reruns of then of TV not all that long ago. Old AH was on the point of being brought back to life until Steed and co intervened.

I hear that the new Dynamite James Bond comic Kill Chain has neo-Nazis as the villains.

Has anyone read that one? How do they feature?
