time until Bond is seen in the title sequence?

He appears in both of the PTS' for TND and TWINE - I'm stumped, but it'll end up being something missing from the aforementioned two Brosnan installments.

You are like Jason. He always wanted more clues and easier games. The guess the character game went on for four months for one round. In the end, it strengthened the game.

This. There's no fun in making all the games overly easy if they stump us - the longer the game and the tougher the round, the better.

I meant the titles but he appears there too...

    Bond in a British car?

  • Nope, sorry.

Can we get some kind of refresher on the things that it has NOT been?

Time spent in Western Europe (not UK)?

    He's in Germany in TND.

  • Neither amount of classical music nor time spent in Western Europe

SKOH, is it something really obscure and/or super specific? You know, akin to Birdleson's guess? Like that's something that's kinda both. That's all I want to know.
  • It's not something obscure or super specific. We may get to that point some day, but with a game like this, where there are so many possible different guesses, I don't see the point in making the answer obscure. It should definitely be guessable by a normal hardcore James Bond fan—did I just use the word "normal" to describe us?—who has seen all the films multiple times over a lifetime. You don't have to start counting the number of times the word "the" is spoken in each film. ;)

Hmm there might be a certain line that is spoken in all films except the too....

    Does anyone have an idea?
  • That wasn't a clue, by the way. Just an example.

Bond climbs upstairs in both films. You're looking for something NOT in TND or TWINE. I'm still drawing a complete blank on it. May rewatch one of them today and continue my search.

There is just hardly anything missing in TWINE. Is there anything specific about the Bond girls in TND and TWINE? I don't think so. The villains do more or less the same as all the other villains. There are allies, the usual modes of transport. It could have s.th. to do with product placement but I don't remember that so very well. Anyway, I don't think that there is s.th. obviously missing in TND and TWINE, I rather think that there is s.th. surprisingly existent in all other films.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the credits/title sequence at all, since that's something I haven't focused on as much. Does it have anything to do with the distribution credits? I may have asked that before.

    No

May I ask if the criteria is a plot element or is it s.th. technical? E.g. "the time until Bond speaks" is a plot element whereas e.g. "the amount of stunt doubles" is s.th.technical instead. I also ask because e.g. the filming locations are different from the locations in the film.

He just narrowed it down a bit. I don't know if we need more. We don't want to solve it because it became too easy.

We don't. It's a tough round, which will make it all the more exciting once someone finally figures out the answer. Giving us a few easy clues will ruin the fun of it for sure.

I've been thinking about the answer to this for a good while now. I keep wondering if a SP/SF double bill would help (see what's very present in the former and nearly non-existent in the latter), but I don't have the sanity to sit through that.
  • I'll reiterate it's something that happens onscreen.

We don't know if that is meant since we don't know what the ranking indicates. It can indicate the size of s.th. or someone's age or .... Whe only know that it does not apply to TWINE or TND.

@GBF, but if it's something that appears on screen, and TWINE and TND aren't applicable, then that means this instance does not occur in either of those films.

That is true, so I try to focus on these two films since I don't find any hint in the ranking of the remaining films.

I rewatched TWINE yesterday and still couldn't place anything that was obviously missing. It'll click for one of us eventually.

Could it be a certain line that is in all Bond films except for the two?

It very well could be. I've also thought of all the different fight/stunt combinations of things that Bond does/doesn't do, but in terms of something he does in all of them except for those two, I'm drawing a blank, as well.
