If it gets a region 2 (B) release, i'll buy it, no question.
Good adaptation of Peter Benchley's novel.
Stunning underwater photography and a great cast.
Added bonus of John Barry's gorgeous score and Jacqueline Bisset in a wet t shirt....
And the brilliant Robert Shaw of course like in Jaws he plays an awesome role.
Yep. Robert Shaw is great in this!
Great Walter Hill classic. Love Bruce Dern in this!
The second none Bond movie from the 60's i bought.
MGM movie released by Warner in 2006. The split total screentime of 168 minutes pall time into two parts. Disc 1 with 1hr, 40 minutes and not subtiteld trailer and disc 2 with 1hr, 08 minutes and rest of extra's with English, French and Italian subs (like 18 of 19 Se Bond dvd's) and Dutch subs. English audio of the movie is DD 5.1 (384).
I already have Unbreakable. Otherwise, I would maybe do as you.
Sadly, yes. ;)
and I had to watch these two again before War for the Planet of the Apes releases
I grew up watching the original show and movie so I had to check this out in theaters. It didn't disappoint so I had to buy it on blu-ray. I really hope a sequel gets made.
and to honor the memory of Sir Rog(RIP), my favorite non-Bond film of his:
DVD: Into The Wild (2007) - 2 disc SE digibook € 2,00.
DVD: Grey Owl (1999) Movie with Pierce Brosnan € 0,50
Soundtrack: Gabriel Yared - The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999) € 5,00
BD: The Counselor (2013) - 2 disc Unrated Extended Cut € 5,00
Its not vintage Hill, but i have been mulling whether to buy it as i did enjoy it.
Recently purchased Hills 'Extreme Prejudice' ,
again not classic for this director but does have a fine cast in Nick Nolte and the late Powers Booth and a scene stealing turn from Rip Torn. And it does have an interview with great Walter Hill in the extras!
BD/DVD: Knight and Day (2010) € 2,50 (Cinema/Extended Cut on both)
BD: Brothers (2009) € 2,50 (NEW)
BD: King Arthur (2004) - Directers Cut € 2,50 BLURAY 290!
Blue Velvet Blu ray
One of my all time favourite films. which I strangely never had on BD.
This edition has the 50 minutes of 'lost footage' which is quite fascinating to watch.
You can see why a lot of it didn't make the film, especially as a lot of it is exposition and rather dull. But there's some good stuff in the footage and it reveals more about Jeffrey's character. There is one chilling scene where he phones Dorothy's apartment and a silent Frank is on the other end of the phone...
The actual film looks incredible in HD and the music and sound effects really pop out and create a menacing atmosphere.
