I saw the Bluray though was around £16 so opted for the Dvd, if I really like the film I will most likely get the Bluray at some point. The Dvd was only £3
Good deal. I normally buy just DVDs for my movies unless: a) There is a Blu-Ray/DVD combo available (mostly happens with animated films I’ve gotten) or b) Just a movie I really love and want to have on both formats or c) Rare case where DVD price far exceeds Blu-Ray (ex: 1974 Black Christmas). DVD is still my primary format because it’s most affordable and plays on my computer as well as Blu-Ray player. I don’t imagine myself upgrading to 4K anytime soon; I don’t want to rebuy all the stuff I have.
I still buy dvd's usually classics or none special effects reliant films. Animated films there is not a great deal of different with formats. I have a 4K player which upscales dvd's quite well. Though I do like special editions on Bluray for extra content on the movie.
Sometimes I will watch dvd's on my computer when working as have two screens three if I connect one of my tv's also. Some films work better on a smaller monitor
LAST EMBRACE is a brilliant Hitchkockian thriller directed by Jonathan Demme.
Roy Scheider is terrific in it.
That dvd cover though!!!...if you haven't seen the film yet!
Great movie! Is that the uncut version?
Along with Murder by Death my favourite Who dunnit parody, long overdue buying it on Bluray (National Lampoons Class Reunion is also very good)
I loved those movies whan I was a kid.
I have them all individually, can't resist some Ginger. But that looks like a really nice set.
That is awesome I want that too.
McLeod's Daughters (1996) € 0,95
21 Jump Street (2012) & 22 Jumpstreet (2014) as 2 disc set in one keepcase. € 0,95
I've yet to watch Murder by Death. How does it compare to Clue?
Deadpool 2 (2018) - 2 Disc (Cinema + Extended cut)
Bumblebee (2018)
Downsizing (2017)
X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX
HELLBOY (the new one, never got to see it in the cinema)
Also bought the first two seasons of TWIN PEAKS (definitive gold box edition).
And this :
And finally this:
3 of my favourites that I hadn't got around to getting since my divorce, where I found out my b***h of an ex-wife deliberately took them.
Just bought this a blind buy as still not seen it, though I have all the other Spiderman films.
Today:
McLeod's Daughters Season 8 (2008) Part 1. € 1,95 (What mean 8th season is complete now.)
I can only hope that when the Bond series gets a 4K Box Set release (after NTTD??), it will receive as much love and care. We know the Bond series will have more extras, but even the artwork for the Criterion release makes me smile.
To complete my collection.
Also, not a movie, but I couldn't pass the opportunity :
