Great stuff @barryt007
I have the Prince of Darkness one on Bluray. It looks amazing!
As a Carpenter fan i must get his others as well.
I remembering seeing Prince of Darkness in the cinema and thinking Carpenter got his mojo back. Love Alice Cooper and his bike!!!
On tape I have several of his, Dark Star, Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, The Fog, Escape from New York, and still my favourite, The Thing!
Yeah, i saw Prince Of Darkness at the cinema and thought the exact same thing after the disappointing 'Starman'
The Thing is definitely his best.
BD: Abduction (2011) with sleeve € 1,00
DVD: Sins (1986) - mini serie on 2 discs. With Timothy Dalton, Steven Berkoff and Giancarlo Giannini.
Today I donated some clothes to a local church/thrift shop and lo and behold in their free section was a crate of mint condition DVDs.
Needless to say, I had to take some of the classics.
I have been meaning to get around to the series for a long time. I have both the original big screen movie, as well as the follow up tv movie, Callan: Wet Job.
Have the big screen movie and watch it loads. Really love it. Woodward is marvellous and there are great scenes and set pieces in it!
The TV series is a lot more sombre and downbeat, but I do intend purchasing it soon!
I've seen the firts two episodes, and I can say now, Callan was quite unlike anything else. I was waiting to see what scenes from the film weren't in the Armchair Theatre pilot. The seen with Callan being interogated by... let's call him... Not Demis Rousos and gets roughed up by a pre-Darth Vader, Dave Prowse, wasn't in the pilot. Neither was the earleir scene of Callen needign the sand in the bucket.

My girlfriend gave me an early Christmas gift this year..........the new Blu-ray release of the Frank Langella DRACULA as I've been whining and moping about the desaturated version for years.
At long last the original cinematic version is back in print in a beautiful new transfer. Quite fun to compare versions, as I've now grown to like the nearly black and white print as well.
I've always had a soft spot for this film as it was one of the very first Dracula movies I watched as a kid. I loved every frame!

I now have 20 (22 including NSNA and CR67) of the films I can now watch on my Tablets or Mobile Phone. It's great being able to watch a Bond film anytime at any place. I should have all of them by the release of NTTD.

Overall feeling: Biggest let down Disney quite with Dutch subtiteld 3D titles, what mean no 2019 versions of Aladdin, Lion King for me and when i finaly get Frozen and Sleaping Beauty no Frozen 2 and Sleeping Beauty 2. Possible also mean no Jungle Book 2 ~X(
No Lego movie 2 in 3D and Godzilla 3 in 3D is only avaible as 2 disc 4K, but also not option to buy because 3D disc need new release because of audio problems (confirmd for the not avaible 2D disc and possible also count for 3D disc.) With missing atleast a English DTS HD MA 5.1 track (like Tomb Raider 2018). Insteed there give us (Dutch/Belgium release) Dolby Digital Plus (DD 5.1 or 7.1 - 640) and French track in dolby true hd (atmos) as there did with that David Yates Tarzan movie and extra's are possible on 4K disc and 2D is missing with extra's. Hope i can buy 2 Disc 3D steelbook of Godzilla 2 (Skull Island) and then it is over. Possible no Godzilla 4 for me.
