I know how you feel: I get excited for something, finally get around to watching it, and sometimes, I'm just not impressed/hate the final product, and then I return to it later on and seem to really enjoy and love it. Cases in point for me relatively recently: 'Jack Reacher' and 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.'
I hope that happens with The Wolverine for me. I really wanted to like it, even claim it as a favorite but it was, as you said, not love nor hate.
I suspect in a second watch one can appreciate a movie for what it is and not for what one expects it to be. Nevertheless, in some cases there's nothing much to do...
American pie reunion, Woman in black, lockout, Ghost protocol special edition on Dvd.
@Murdock, will do. ;)
I'm also on the lookout for some of the older Star Trek films on blu-ray, but I have a gut feeling that we're going to get a double dip soon. (Star Trek's 50th anniversary is in 2016...maybe not that soon, but yeah.) One can only hope for the director's edition of Star Trek: The Motion Picture on blu-ray! If that is released in a pack with all the other TOS films, I'd snag it up.

* Poundland were selling it, Poundland. So I thought, why not?
Music to my ears. Excellent news. I can't really think of a better back-to-back film watching experience than watching Jamie Lee piece things together in 'Halloween,' and then seeing her fight off Michael again in 'Halloween II.' It's perfect.
Is that the one with Michael York and Elke Sommer, Major?
As for me, I just purchase one of my favorite early Frank Capra films:
That's the one.
I remember seeing a few scenes of it on TV when I was a kid. It looked intriguing. Can you post a review whenever you watch it?
Spawn - Has in no way improved, terrible film.
The Mummy on Bluray, always enjoyed this film.
Fun fact: the main sniper villain in that movie was a big inspiration for GTA IV's Nico. Just look at his outfit and you'll see why.

Also just bought all of the Fleming short stories for just over £1 online. Probably should've bought them new but I've just recently bought FIFA, GTA and now the Dalton films so I thought spending a bit less couldn't hurt, says they're in pretty good condition anyway. And if not, I've wasted hardly anything.
That's basically what I did. I have all the Connery on Blu-ray, and will get the rest of the Craig films on the format that I need, then call it a day for a long while. Those are my go to films, so it makes no sense to shell out a lot of money for a huge set of all 23, many of which I won't watch in a while.
Bought this a few weeks back. Didn't get a chance to see it in theaters so I took a risk in buying it; I wasn't disappointed.
Easily one of Hopkins best performances alongside a superb Emma Thompson.
Great support from James Fox, Peter Vaughn and the late Christopher Reeve, just a sublimely brilliant film.
