I'm sticking with my Kubrick avatar from IMDB just so people from there will be able to immediately recognize me. If I am here a while I will probably eventually stick to something Bond related. I probably won't post here too much until IMDB formally closes just because logging in there is my habit right now but I'll definitely give you guys a shot.
Give us your tired, you poor, your Die Another Day fans...

    We have those. They're coming.
Good to see you guys have migrated too, unfortunately I couldnt keep my username, but you will recognize me as he who loves tournaments.

I like it here already. Now I just need someone to point me towards the Thunderball and OHMSS fans and I'll be all set!

@TheSharkFromJaws (can I call you Bruce?) you'll be happy to know that this community has a lot of fans-including yours truly-of both OHMSS and TB, with some great places to go to appreciate them and review them:

Been an IMDB member for 13 years. It was one of the first things I ever discovered on the internet and I couldn't do without the message boards to while away the long hours on a work nightshift.

I must admit in recent years I have used the message boards less and less. Too many trolls and the responses got few and far between.

Probably why I came on here last year. The Bond discussions are great, but the general film discussion is also why I use this site.

I didn't realise IMDB were shutting down their message boards til' I read this!

I joined IMDB in 2004, and spent a lot of times on the Bond 21 board before it was titled CR. I remember @RichardTheBruce from those days.

I was on the IMDB Bond board in 2012-2013 before coming here in March 2014.

Welcome to all our new Bond fans here. Shame to see what's happening as far as IMDb goes.
Thanks, but with all due respect, one thing we are not is "new" Bond fans...

To give IMDb credit, those two worked all the time on their board as well. But I always found it amazing that they censored "the F word" (dare I test it? "fuck") on the board while at the same time keeping it spelled out in their "Memorable Quotes" section of a given movie. In some cases (need I mention Tarantino?) more than a hundred times in those quotes alone.

A member since 2002 (dutchmarvel) and my first message was in 2003 and my last message last November and before that December 2015.

Funny is that you can see titles i at in threads who don't exist any more because movie is canceld. Sometimes at contrubute Dutch programs or at some extra information. Since 2010 i making lists from my DVD, BD and Soundtrack collection, movies mabey whant to check out and having list with my Bond Top 23 and Bond and Beyond list where i at names of actors/actress and crew members who like to see working on Bond.

What i will miss the moost from the imdbforums is option to ask quistion to admin (whyle i not using it much, it be nice the option is there) or at RIP/day of death of fames (dutch) people vergotten. The other things about quistions or sugestion of movie or actors, suport a actor is something i always do on small bases.

I saw the Hulk and i like the movie and the acters & Crue must stay for Hulk 2 if there make it.

But i missing a litle romance as Spider Man and i think Michael Apted can give that.

People say that there is mabey a litle to much romance feeling in The World is not enough, but i think it is good For The Hulk 2.

Before i saw The Hulk,i thaught Ang Lee can make a movie like Twine,so Michael Apted as directer for The Hulk 2 and Ang Lee mabey for a Bond movie in the future.

Don't worry, neither of us is the kind that use it indiscriminately and gratuitously. Not saying it may not be appropriate and justified under certain circumstances, but in that case it will be a conscious decision.

Yeah, appreciate the feedback and I agree obscenity-laced posts aren't appropriate for a forum like this. My early impression here is a more civil culture than we're probably used to. A welcome change for many of us I'm sure.

One correction: for a short time IMDB did BLEEP those two famous Bond Girl names. Well-intentioned but direly stupid act. Or oversight.

Only in the forums, of course. IMDb itself is not shy to list, say, porn movies with whatever atrocious names, nor the pertinent quotes (as I mentioned before). However, they seemed to be obsessed with their board posters not issuing anything incompatible with good old WASP values, even where (probably) covered by what the Americans call the First Amendment, or its parallels in all of the free(!!!!) world.

For a short time the 1983 movie *beep* was known as *beep* .

Also the main character of GOLDFINGER, *beep* Galore, was known as *beep*. Don't want to extend this subject, but you get the idea.
