    You're right @DarthDimi

The amount of Batman material ripe for plunder is limitless. It's so frustrating that they spend money on Gotham when all the fans want to see is Batman being the vigilante he was written to be. So much potential for a fantastic series.

I suppose next up is, 'Metropolis:The Early Years' featuring a young Lois Lane just starting out as a Daily Planet reporter. And you know, no mention of the bloke in a red cape....

Just out of curiosity, would anyone take a Bond film out of the series if they could.
I don't think I could. Even my lowest ranked films have something.

Maybe a couple of the Brosnan films ;)) To be honest it would be difficult to remove even my lowest of the low Bond film, each film is part of the evolution of the screen interpretation of the character. DAD led us all to CR for example

@LeonardPine, wasn't Smallville a painful experience for the impatient too?

I don't mind having a bit of fun with wll-known characters. Super Hero Girls, for example, though not exactly written with me in mind, is a surprisingly effective bag of fun. It doesn't, however, take multiple seasons for us to get to the candy. But if one is interested in doing something Superman or Batman, show us the men in the capes! Comics can do whatever they want IMO. Gotham Central barely features Batman at all, and that series is nevertheless great! But it delivers what it promises; Gotham does not. We spend more time with gangsters, some of which never even existed in the Batman universe before, than with Gordon and his crew. (And I hate how they pronounce "Falcone" as falc-own instead of falc-owney, but that's besides the point.)

Supergirl is actually great fun and does exactly what it says on the tin so to speak.

I think I watched one episode of Smallville and thought it wasn't just dull but also a dumb concept.

I really like the Daredevil series. That kind of violent gritty action is how I'd envision a Batman series. One can only hope.

@LeonardPine, you laugh, but a sort of companion show to Gotham is being developed called Krypton that will show the development of Clark's home planet, before he's even born. So the current trend of DC's treatment of its two greatest heroes on TV will continue, where we get yet another show where the superhero can't be a superhero because they're too busy being all angsty or (in Clark's case) unborn. Exciting times...

Smallville at the very least had the homegrown essence of Superman, and Welling was able to play to the kind of hopeful boy scout that was needed (the show aired just after 9/11). The episodes also offered him many chances to use every range of his powers over time, with pivotal character moments from the comics explored. With Gotham, all we get to see is Gordon barely face off with the rogues gallery in a tired "villain of the week" structure while Bruce burns his finger with a candle and looks at papers on a long board. It doesn't exactly raise the pulse.

It's a shame too, for the potential that's there. I love when Bruce and Alfred have it out and train in combat, or when Bruce and Selina coyly flirt and tease their future dynamic. Everything else outside of those little moments, however, is taxing to sit through. The finale for season 1 was literally one of the worst TV episodes I've ever seen. I kid you not, in less than fifteen minutes Gordon, Bullock and co. got captured by villains, then escaped in a chaotic moment, then got captured again minutes later, then got free once more, from the same exact place they were locked up in the first time.

And don't get me started on Jada Pinkett Smith. Never has a performance been so self-indulgent.

I'd pull TWINE and maybe SP (yes, I think Craig's batting average would be far superior without the latest effort). That's about it. The rest are all enjoyable for me.

Bloodrayne, Bloodrayne 2 and Bloodrayne: The 3rd Reich. The games, in the hands of a competent director, could have led to an enjoyable action/horror series. However, as much as I loathe the films, there was one thing they got right, or rather one thing that the first film got right, Kristanna Loken.

    24 : Live Another Day

Don't mind them shortening the season, because I was already bored with the premise. I hated the ending. Won't probably watch the new spin-off. Been there, seen that.

Sometimes, while zapping, I have come across a British tv series about embarrassing diseases, and every time I want to stick a fork through both eyes.

    thou protests too much mylord.

If this is the worst you've seen you lead a pretty charmed life of you taste is just not that impressive.

The title of the thread isn't the worst you've seen it's which do you wish you could wipe from your memory. Two completely different things.

Rogue One certainly isn't the worst film ever made, far from it. But as a 'Star Wars' film you would expect some degree of quality. The effects (Apart from Moff Tarkin) are mostly excellent and the score is very good. But with no characters to even care about and an absolute flyweight lead it's hard to invest in the story we are being told. It reminded me of segments from a Star Wars game that you watch while waiting to get to the playing stuff.

It's also dull, unfunny and derivative.

The reason I mention it in this thread is that I don't want it spoiling the experience when I watch A New Hope again. You know, that proper Star Wars film. (Even with Lucas's ill judged extra bits)

And my taste is irrelevant. There's too many people that are easily pleased.
